I found a small funny coincidence in the new 16th book of the "Wings of fire.The Hybrid Prince" and with another franchise.

CAUTION SPOILERS!!!

in the scene, Umber and Sora flew to the island, after which they set up a pass, but they were attacked by the Kraken. Prince Mulberry arrives to help them, and they fly to the gates.

I was reminded of a moment in "the Lord of the Rings" book, when the party was at the gates of Moria and Frodo was attacked by a Deep Guard, who also had tentacles. Frodo was helped by Sam and the rest of the Fellowship of the Ring.

The approach was different, of course, because while the Mulberry was like a Disney princess, helping Frodo get out of the monster's tentacles without violence, at the same time, in "the Lord of the Rings", they were literally hacking away.

What other events from the book did you find familiar?
