A small Fanfic I wrote for @ghxstsnghxuls birthday. very self indulgent
Warm light falls onto you through a pair of tall windows. Thin curtains sway in the gentle summer breeze, a few Fletchling chirping outside. And above you floats a small Klefki, laden heavy with keys, that jingle with every movement. Coming closer to you, it reaches out, tapping your hand, twirling in the air when it notices you're awake.
With a yawn you slowly sit up, giving the pokemon a smile. It keeps tugging at you, motioning you to follow. As you do, the scent of fresh hot chocolate and pancakes wafts to you from the kitchen - just where Klefki is leading you.
Standing in the doorway, you smile, the view inside as dreamy as it is adorable. Wearing an oversized shirt (incredible he could even find one) and a pair of bright red shorts reading 'Art thou nasty?', Wikstrom is leaning over the stove, preparing breakfast. He looks up at the sound of jingling keys, the smile he greets you with brighter than the sun.
"Ah! My lady, I pray Ophelia hast not woken thou from your slumber! After all, on this finest of days, thou should be able to rest...please, do not concern thyself with any work oh rose of my heart. I shall be thine faithful servant in all matters."
As he speaks, he ushers you to your chair, the table already beautifully set for two, a candle between the plates, next to a giant bouquet of roses. From your position you watch him work, until movement in your periphery catches your attention. Peeking around the corner of the door is his entire team, watching with a strange kind of attention, as if expecting something.
"Thou will be pleased to know, today's marvelous festivities are an effort of all of us! Ah...so forgive us for the slight worries. We wish to make this day befitting of one as precious as thou, my love."
It makes your heart flutter, to know Wikstrom and his entire team had worked so hard, simply to make your day fantastic, as if their mere presence was not enough to make every day uniquely wonderful. While your darling finishes up breakfast, Othello slowly walks over, handing you a small batch of flowers and grass, that have clearly been haphazardly cut from the lawn. Following that, the rest of the little group joins in, one after the other:
A fancy butter knife from Durendal, a shiny pebble from Aragon and finally a cute silver key from Ophelia’s collection. You accept them, showering each Pokemon with praise and pets in return, listening to their chattering. They only disperse when Wikstrom joins you, placing plates of warm food on the table between the two of you.
He does not sit immediately though. Kneeling next to your chair, he once more graces you with a smile, holding a small box in his hands.
“Oh lady of my heart, please...do accept this humble offering, forged with the blazing heat of my love for thee.”
Within the box, resting on deep blue velvet, is a silver bracelet, formed like a sword and engraved with floral patterns. As you try it on, it fits perfectly around your wrist a set of small gems embedded in the sword’s hilt reflecting the light.
“May it remind thee, that my heart shall be thine forevermore. And may it be the beginning of a wonderful birthday for thee.”
