BE GAY 🏳️‍🌈 DO CRIMES⁠ ⁠ These stickers and washi tapes are something I made a while back and never released, so I decided to create a print to tie the collection together and celebrate Halloween with pride this year 💀🌈⁠ ⁠ My own journey of queerness has been a long one. I was raised in a strict religious home and didn't even have any exposure to any other kind of lifestyle until I got to high school. I will forever be grateful to my friends back then for putting up with me because while nothing changed for me back then, over the years afterward I couldn't reconcile my love and support for them with the religion I had been raised in. I had to disentangle it all, slowly coming to the realization that I was pansexual.⁠ ⁠ It wasn't a happy time for me. I was a junior at BYU, and while I'm extremely grateful for my education, I had very little support and no queer community, all while new policies and rhetoric from the church all around me told me that I was unwanted and dirty.⁠ ⁠ I almost gave up and dropped out of school, but I made a hail mary and applied for the Illustration program--and somehow, I got in. In my very first class, I met a girl with a Life is Strange phone background (I love you @tanimaichi), and knew that I had found my people at last 💚 It wasn't easy, but the last few years of school--finally surrounded by others like me and doing something I love--turned my life around.⁠ ⁠ Now, I try to celebrate queer joy as much as I possibly can. I want other people who are struggling like I was to know that this community is filled with love and freedom. If I can show that with my silly little dragons, then I'm happy.⁠

My point is, even if you barely have any likes or reblogs, don’t get discouraged. You have a lot of silent fans, but they are still your fans. Keep on creating. Because there is always someone out there who will love what you have made.
