"i don't like descendants, it's corny and childish!" i say as i spend several nights staying up till the early hours of the morning conceptualizing ocs for descendants and remakes of the characters.
ANYWAY, here is Rose! She's the daughter of Belle and the Beast/Adam and she is meant to be a redesign of Ben but I'd say she's more based off of him since she looks nothing like him. The design on the left would be her canon-ish peasant/casual design and the design on the right is her fashion doll design (inspired by Belle fashion dolls including the comfy squad dolls, Disney ILY4Ever dolls, and Disneybounders) due to Descendants being very fashion doll oriented. I'll make a more royal/formal outfit for her eventually as well as drawing her beast design. The flowers on her shirt in her fashion doll design are meant to be roses while her hair in said design is meant to be rose petal locs (be aware that I am white so I probably didn't portray them good enough).
The reason I made her Black is because 1. Descendants makes pre-established Disney characters different races (like Ursula and Cinderella being Black for example) and 2. she's based on every single one of the actors and voice actors for her parents. The markings on her face is meant to be Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. She's also inspired by Gideon from Once Upon a Time.

UCN version of my FNAF self-insert Tink. Instead of being human, he is a doll animatronic. Due to UCN being William's personal hell, Tink represents how William loves to break fragile things. Tink appears very dainty and prey-like but will often try to kill William. Sometimes he forces William to watch as he is torn apart and put back together by the other animatronics (primarily Springtrap) as a way of tormenting him and making him feel guilty. Tink is also kinda eldritch too because if he gets broken he has meat inside of him which was sorta based on Ursi Carnifex. The flowers on his skirt are carnations (his birth flower) and the flowers on his socks are sweet williams.

A family friend (don't know her too well) tried to hug me as she was leaving, and I politely tried asking her not to because 1) I'm in pain and 2) my spine is deteriorating due to a chemo drug. I really mean it when I say you can't hug me. But this bitch just went "no I'm gonna hug you" and shook me around and squeezed me like a dish towel while I was trying to push her off, and now a section of my spine and ribs is so fucked up I can't bend it and it really hurts. She literally injured me just because she couldn't take no for a fucking answer.
Like. This is why I have learned helplessness. This is why I give up so easily. At some point, having boundaries and asserting yourself and communicating your needs doesn't do jack fucking shit, because if people want to, they can overpower you and physically harm you in the process anyway. For nothing.
And this is why I don't buy people saying "it's YOUR responsibility to enforce your boundaries; just asking for something isn't a boundary <3." Because I physically can't. Most disabled people physically can't. A person in a wheelchair can't "enforce" someone not touching their chair. Yeah, after it happens, they can maybe avoid that person in the future as a way to "remove that person's access" to the wheelchair user. But at that point, assault has already been committed and it's not about boundaries anymore. It's about human fucking rights. "Don't assault me" is not a fucking boundary. It's an able bodied person's trigger word.

Tldr Amnesty International, global human rights organisation, published a report called 'A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK'. In it is detailed, amongst others, a whole bunch of transphobic groups and organisations, including Beira's Place, JK Rowling's trans exclusionary sexual violence support service. JK Rowling threw a shit fit and got Amnesty to take the report down by threatening libel. This was obviously not enough, because you can't appease a fascist, so now she's going to bankroll a bunch of lawsuits anyway through the JK Rowling Women's Fund.*

I'm not even kidding it's so clear that everyone sees black people and especially black women as some sort of alternate species. I'm getting into doll collection & customization videos because I've been getting into collecting myself and toys and art are supposed to bring me happiness and even there I can't escape the anti blackness. Like... you're lucky if you find a character or doll that's consistently brown skinned and carefully designed in popular brands. Collectors will always favor light skin or fantasy colors anyways. I had to watch a white creator call a custom Garnet doll "dummy thicc" and describe her in progress proportions as "female rappery" why couldn't just have said curvy? Many of you may have seen the horrific news out of Biddeford, Maine today: Joan Sebastian Guerrero, an innocent 26 year old man on his way to work, was murdered by ICE agents—reportedly in front of his family, including his young child. While there is no world in which anything would justify this act, reports indicate that ICE agents stopped the wrong vehicle while attempting to execute an arrest warrant; Guerrero was not the target of this warrant. He committed no crimes, was legally authorized to live and work in the US, and was murdered in the street where his body was left for more than five hours.
While Maine experienced a surge in ICE activity at the beginning of the year, national coverage of this activity ceased when out-of-state agents retreated. ICE activity did not stop here in Maine, as made very clear by today's events.
The Maine Solidarity Fund was created last year by a collective of frontline organizations, cultural anchors, and direct service providers with deep ties to Maine’s Black and Brown immigrant and trans communities. The fund was designed to provide rapid-response funding to members of our most targeted communities. Since the fund's creation, well over $1,000,000 has been distributed to nearly 500 immigrant and trans Mainers.
Prior to today's events, the fund was running very low. Donations have begun to pick up in the aftermath of this shooting, but more are desperately needed. The organizations at the heart of the MSF are in contact with Guerrero's family and are at the helm of the state's anti-ICE structures and initiatives, including upcoming actions related to this shooting.
To those wishing to support immigrant communities in Maine, donating to the Maine Solidarity Fund is a wonderful way to do so.
