1. If possible try to be thoroughly hung over from the night before - I.E. your guard is already down because you drank it under the table the previous night.

2. Drink more - Tegan&Holly promote responsible drinking don’t get me wrong...but drink more! Drinking games will be provided and our crew will be calling it out during the film.

3. Eat popcorn and talk to your friends - Before, during and after the movies. Honestly this is a social. We aren’t trying to make anyone sit still and be quiet so if you wanna turn the chair around and talk to someone behind you - DO IT - Holly and I oversee this “movie theater” and we are probably worse than you so don’t be shy!

It's the SEQUELSERIES finale!

SEQUELSERIES, the movie night that brought you Grease 2 and Back To The Future 2, is back for one final, awful sequel.

Troll 2 (1990) tells the story of a family who take a vacation break to a small town. They discover it is inhabited by goblins that plan to eat them and quickly end up fighting for their lives. There are no trolls in Troll 2. 

Widely regarded as the worst movie of all time, Troll 2 was also the subject of a 2009 documentary. Best Worst Movie (2009) will also be screened following the main feature.  

The screening takes place on Friday, August 10 at CineCycle. Doors open at 9pm and tickets cost $5/adv or $7/door.

Troll 2’s shambolic and often senseless plot, terrible acting and excruciating editing combine to create a perfect storm of movie badness. The movie was scripted by Italian director Claudio Fragasso and wife Rosella Drudi, neither of whom spoke fluent English. The amateur cast often failed to comprehend what was required of them, with hilarious results.   

The script began as a way for Drudi to get back at friends who had become vegetarians, by portraying them as evil, human-devouring goblins.

The documentary that followed, Best Worst Movie, is directed by the actor who played Joshua in the film, Michael Paul Stephenson. It tells the story of the film’s creation with interviews from the cast and aims to pinpoint exactly why it has amassed such a huge following. TEGAN&HOLLY are a new event-throwing duo based in Toronto. One half Canadian (Tegan) and one half British (Holly), they plan to make Toronto even more awesome with loud music, film, art and technology.
