The name's Kou Tanaka. I'm just a humble part timer here in Ikebukuro. I've got about a decade's worth of working every convenience store and part-time job this side of Ikebukuro. I've seen lots of crazy things over the years. Can you believe a human can throw a vending machine at terminal velocity?! How about a cyclist that drives around with no head?! The rumors are true, this city is absolutely INSANE! There's never a dull day.

Is what I'd say if I can use that as an excuse for why I've been offline. Really the truth is worse: I'm EMPLOYED.

--Yeah, it's nice to be able to pay rent. My new boss is nice enough to offer up shifts that I can work whenever, but damn does that man run me ragged-- As if I didn't still have other part-time jobs to run...

The boss man insists that I quit every other job. He even offered to pay enough that I could afford rent with the one job, but... Ugh, I've already explained my reasons for staying at the mall. Personal reasons.

In any case... The summer rush is coming to an end soon. If we're not short staffed tomorrow, maybe I can have time to relax finally... I'd love to see the beach again at least one more time.

It's June so people are getting married... one of those people happens to be my sister...

I still hate her. I can't forgive her for what she's done... but... Hell, I know dad's going to roll over in his grave if I don't show up for my family now.

It's just... this is what dad would want me to do. Hope she doesn't mind me crashing her wedding.

That girl was always a hopeless romantic. We both were. The guy she's with had better be ready for all her corny bullshit. She's probably going to crack during her speech, and if she does, I'm going to make sure she hears it when I laugh.

It's been a rough one, but I'm going through it with a smile. We're operating on half staff this week (yikes), but... I think I'll *live.* Just goes to show how poorly HR is at determining how little staffing is acceptable staffing... At this point, I think they should shut down the café, but that would be bad for business, so the BIG BOSS is pressuring the owner to make it work. Of course, it's easy to say that when he's sitting pretty in a penthouse, building a crumbling monopoly out of dying shopping malls, but what do I know???

After almost ten years of living in the family apartment, my father worked so hard to get for us in the city, I'm struggling to pay rent, and I've gotten an eviction notice... I've had to work double shifts just to make up the difference, and it's worn me out... I finally managed to make up the money, and they're off my back, but damn was it more stressful than anything...

... In these trying times, it's nice to have a friend you can be yourself with. (; w ;) (Friend not tagged for his privacy, but he knows who he is <3)

It's really been two whole weeks since I had a quiet moment to myself...

Where do I begin?

Well... Work's eaten up my entire life. Yes. A cat café is a dream... to visit. Working one is a hell unlike any other...

Aside from the health concerns and apparent mismanagement, I didn't realize how rusty I was this kind of customer service. My face hurts from putting on the customer service smile, and my teeth hurt from gritting them through bullshit-- So, the usual...

Then again, I don't have it half as bad as the kids who picked up jobs for summer, doing this work part time while still attending summer school... Some of my coworkers should be off enjoying the beach, but with the economy being the way it is... eh...

Not to mention, the pay is abysmal? Jeez... Even with my years of experience, I'm not nearly getting paid as well as even the convenience store wage... I've had to pick up a second part-time job at the store to make ends meet (Skimble was happy to see familiar faces).
