â what were you expecting to happen tonight ? â she inquired, head canting to the side. sageâs nose wrinkled in disgust as she watched the partygoer throw up, and she shook her head slightly. partying to that sort of extent didnât make sense to her, she knew that alcohol wasnât necessary to ensure a good time. though she rarely partied at all, her appearance was a rare occasion at any sort of social gathering like this. â iâll come as long as i donât have to play video games. i really donât like them at all. â
âI donât know,â Talia sighed as she looked around, glancing more partygoers making absolute messes of themselves, before letting out a small, almost humourless laugh. âLess messy stuff, I guess? I have a two-year old; I have enough mess to deal on the daily. Also, donât worry about the video games. I just mentioned them because I know most people like them, but Iâm honestly not a fan myself. My dad just bought them for me in the hope itâd give me the motivation to invite more people over to my place.â

SECTION 01. APPEARANCE.
A T T R A C T I V E N E S S
Talia doesnât think of herself as unattractive, but she doesnât think of herself as attractive either. In her eyes, sheâs pretty average. She felt a bit self-conscious about her appearance in high school, of course, as puberty and post-puberty are always a tough time, but it wasnât ever something that truly affected her life. Really, Talia sees herself as the girl-next-door. She doesnât think sheâll ever grab someoneâs attention through her looks, whether that be positively or negatively. Basically, she doesnât think that her looks affect her life all that much. Personally, I think Molly Gordon (Taliaâs faceclaim) is gorgeous, but of course, the way Talia feels about herself has nothing to do with the way I feel about her faceclaim.
H E I G H T
Taliaâs 5â˛5âł, which is just a tiny bit more than the average. Growing up, she was actually one of the tall ones, even being taller than most masculine presenting people at some points, but she stopped growing around her second year of secondary school, whereas other people her own age kept on growing taller. Sheâs pretty happy with her height, because although she tends to be more attracted to people who are taller than her, she doesnât necessarily adore feeling like sheâs being towered over, so yeah! Not that thatâd stop her from being attracted to someone, but itâs just? Not her go to, I guess?

Taliaâs a bit of a stick in the mud, and terrified of pain, and has therefore never even considered getting tattoos or piercings outside of the one (1) piercing she has per year that she got as a four year old. She cried and screamed super loudly then, and would probably act in a similar way now, to be honest. LOVES them on other people, though. She finds piercings and tattoos way too attractive for her own good, to be honest. Sheâs not going to like, be less attracted to someone who has none, but tattoos and piercings just do something for her. Maybe itâs the whole good girl being corrupted by the bad boy/girl/enby trope and what not, but yes!

I kind of covered this in the last few questions, so Iâm honestly not really sure what to add? OH! She was legit ADORABLE as a toddler. Like, ridiculously so. And Leo, her two years old son, inherited that, to be honest.

CHARLOTTE SINCLAIR ( COWORKERS )
Charlotte and Talia are both secretaries at the Maison des Marguerites, Ellinghamâs nursing home, and they get along pretty well! Talia tends to like most people, and I can easily picture her enjoying Charlotteâs company! Also, she DEF was like âholy shitâ the first time she saw Charlotte. Because, like, YEAH.
DAKOTA HEFNER ( FRIENDS )
The two of them met at the Maison des Marguerites, where Talia works as a secretary and where one of Dakotaâs family members resides. Talia and Dakota ended up becoming friendly, and basically, Taliaâs son (Leo) adores Dakota; Dakota is after all a voice actor and can do voices that simply awe tiny lil Leo.
ELIJAH WINTERS + 4 MORE ( GROUP OF FRIENDS )
Theyâve been friends since high school, and are still a tight-knit group of friends to this day. With elijah, Taliaâs a bit more of the mom friendâ˘, but with the others, thatâll depend on who plays the other characters! Iâll probably make a group chat once all of them are taken to make things easier!Â
MIA FISHER ( FOUND FAMILY )
Theyâre both bookworms, and Talia always went to Miaâs bookstore a lot, but after Leo was born, she started asking for recommendations for picture books, and the two started getting closer. Nowadays, they often hang out together in the store and chat whilst Leo plays behind the counter. Itâs like, the cutest thing.
NOAH ANDERSON ( REGULAR HOOKUP )
This connection is pretty much exactly as is advertised, to be honest! The two regularly hook-up, because, although Talia may have a child, she does still want fun and what not, so yes! They keep it on the down-low, though, because Noah doesnât want his parents to find out, and Talia is generally quite a secretive person.

margo never really liked big grand social gatherings, they werenât that bad when youâre with the right people but the townâs annual winter bash was not particularly one where a recluse would find herself. she had only come really to support her friend, this was jeremyâs party and it was great and everything, it just wasnât really margoâs scene. she had found a place to lean on, a tree that on the outskirts of the central party area. she was thinking about some advanced study she should be studying instead of being here when a voice brought her back to the present, âuhhhâŚi donât really play video games but iâm a fast learner ! i mean i think i am- i hope so anywayâ an awkward chuckle fell from her lips.Â
âOh, thank god,â Talia sighed in relief before letting out a small laugh and slightly shaking her head. âMy dad bought me a console and some games in the hope that itâd get me to invite more people over, but to be honest? talia had a pretty good and regular childhood. her parents had her when they were thirty years old and settled into their lives, and she was an only child all her life. her dad worked a job that often took him out of ellingham, often needing to go to london, vancourver, toronto, nyc, paris, etc. but wasnât a big executive that made a lot of money, and her mother worked from home, and they belonged to the middle class. therefore, pretty ordinary childhood. she had a good relationship with her parents, they talked about everything openly, and though they did argue from time to time, of course, they had a pretty good lil family.Â
she did start to party a lot towards her last two years of high school, though, and got pregnant after hooking up with WANTED CONNECTION #06 at a party. talia decided to keep the child, and though she told the other parent that she didnât necessarily want their financial support, since they were just as young as she was, she did ask them to be part of their childâs life. the rest of taliaâs relationship with that person will be determined once someone applies for this connection!
she was seventeen years old when her son, leo, was born, and luckily enough for her, he was born the summer right after she had graduated high school (since high school ends at 17 in quĂŠbec). she decided not to go to cĂŠgep, and to find a job instead, so that she could help pay for all the things she and leo would need. her parents offered to help, and they did help a lot in the beginning, but talia didnât feel comfortable with that, and now only lets them spoil leo (they are his grandparents after all) and pay for 25% of her rent.Â
she lives in an half-basement-ish type of apartment with leo, now, which is only a five minutes drive away from taliaâs parentsâ house. they do have boundaries about when they can visit each other, though, as they want talia to feel like a real adult tm since she literally has a child. also, they respect her privacy, so!
talia currently works as a secretary at the maison des marguerites, aka ellinghamâs nursing home, and is well loved by all its residents and their visitors. sheâs just???? really agreeable and kind to people, and a good person overall, and it shows.
ALCOHOL, DRUGS & ALZHEIMER TW. can be uptight, though. like, when she partied in high school, she had to get really drunk and/or high to be able to let loose and have fun, otherwise she wouldnât have been able to. she never had black outs, though, always managing to keep control of herself, as losing control was a big fear of hers after seeing her grandma deal with alzheimerâs.Â
ALZHEIMER & GRANDPARENTAL DEATH TW. her grandma was probably taliaâs favourite person in the world, so it was very difficult to lose her last year. she was the one who had managed to convince the nursing homeâs manager to hire talia, before the alzheimer took over. i wonât go into details about the whole alzheimer thing, because my own grandma suffered from it and it makes me a sad sam tm, but iâll just say that it was very hard for talia in the last two years of her grandmotherâs life. itâs why she keeps a picture of her grandma, and a picture of leo, in a lil heart-shaped locket that she wears most of the time.Â
