First clinical exposure to psychiatry today.I was greeted in B2 ward with a scoff for being precisely seven minutes early, ruining my preceptors lunch. We then continued to sit in silence while I listened to her chew her goulash.

I want to share my hiking trip to British Columbia with you:) Something about adventure, friendship, hiking, and nature that bring mental clarity and internal peace. I often travel to spend time with myself, outside of the hustle and bustle of medical school- time fully committed to me. I consider travel part of my work- life balance. I like to take a few weeks out of the year to devote entirely to travel, unplug, disconnect, in order to refresh my body, mind, soul, emotions, and vibrations. It’s fascinating how hiking and being surrounded by nature honourably brings personal clarity and universal understanding. When we take the time to challenge our bodies with tough physical exertion, our minds can deviate from distracted thought and focus deeply into our true existence. This comprehension allows for mastery in our daily engagements. My work improves with travel, as do I.

Celebrating Canada Day Weekend in the Great Outdoors! 🇨🇦💯❤️Fresh air, activity, good people & good pets make me Canadian and make me balanced! Sometimes I am most productive when I'm doing little paper work and all body work. The mind rests with the humming of exercise, rather than the angst of complex thinking. The soul smiles with positive reflection, leaving stress to the side. The body laughs with movement, relaxing the tension built up over the work week. The heart is whole with honest conversation, and existential clarity. Be good to yourself humans:) Xo Talia
