Request: hello :) could you do the imagine where Draco is dating a slytherin muggle born and Snape is so happy and supportive for them (because he is close to Draco and he really likes the girl too), he is like remembering him and lily and hopes that yours realtionship will work. Just sth fluffy with Snape pls. (and also Draco can call snape uncle idk i always found it kinda cute but you dont have to do this)
Warnings: Not very heavy on dialogue. Also Snape feels about Lily so if youāre a bit uncomfortable about that then I wouldnāt suggest reading it.Ā
A/N:Ā Honestly, Iām not too big of a Snape fan, and even less so with SnapeXLily, but I found some ground for this oneshot. Sorry if this isnāt too fluffy, but I just canāt imagine Snape going overboard on fluff XD. Hope you still like it though!
Snape was, in lack of better termsā¦bitter about love. He blamed this, and everything else wrong with his life, on Potter. Whether it was James or Harry, Snape didnāt know and frankly, didnāt care. In his eyes, James stole Lily away. He ruined everything. If only Lily would have given him another chance to prove his love!
The gloomy professor walked down the halls, back straight and robes swishing like fabric in the wind. He took long strides, managing to look intimidatingly poised, yet mysteriously reserved all at once.Ā
āWoah woah, look out itās Snape!ā
Snape heard the comment, obviously not meant for him to overhear, but he let it slide. The professor had grown used to comments like that long before he began teaching.
As he breezed into his classroom, a familiar, comforting sight welcomed him. Snape never, ever, encouraged any forms of affection in his class. He despised them.Ā
Nonetheless, a pair seemed to have found an exception to this mental rule of his. At the very front of the room, sat his best student. (Really, second best, but heād never let anyone know Granger beat Draco Malfoy in his classroom every so often.)Ā
And next to him, was Y/N. Y/N was excellent in Potions, and often answered every question. They were even muggle-born. It couldnāt help but remind Snape of Granger, but another feature that stood out above all was that it reminded him of..Lily.Ā
Draco and Y/N looked up. Draco beamed and sat up straighter, but Y/N simply gave a shy smile and acted like any normal student would. The scene struck Snape and blew him into the past, where heād be just as eager in class while Lily stuck by his side.
Snape continued instructing the class, but every so often, heād hear Draco and Y/N. Theyād sometimes hold hands under the table, or they would make each other laugh and have to stifle their giggles.
The potions professor noticed. Of course he noticed, but every time he felt like stopping it, another part urged him to let the couple be. If Draco cast a worried glance towards Snapesā way, the professor would give his most respectable version of anĀ āapproving smileā, and continue his business.
āDonāt you think itās strange that Snape snaps at other students but not us?ā Y/N questioned.Ā āDonāt get me wrong, but sometimes you doĀ get a little out of character cool in that class, not that I mind much.ā
āI guess, but you can also say thatās just another perk of being with me,ā Draco proudly grinned.
āOh can it!ā Y/N playfully shoved him.Ā āReally though, you never wondered?ā
āI meanā¦I suppose not that much. Itās weird, but heās always been present in my life likeā¦an uncle of some sort? I donāt know.ā Draco answered, rubbing his neck and looking down at his feet.
Y/N giggled and wrapped an arm around him.Ā āItās not that weird. I just hope he doesnāt think weāre a nuisance..like everyone else in class does.ā
āWhat?ā Draco laughed.Ā āNo one thinks that!ā
āKeep telling yourself that. Itāll make you more popular for sure,ā Y/N rolls their eyes and shakes their head.Ā
Snape couldnāt help but overhear this exchange as he was cleaning the classroom. As per usual, he let it be. After the patter of footsteps died down outside, he let out a heartsick sigh.Ā
āOh wait! Forgot a book in the room!ā Dracoās voice sounded. Snape glanced at his usual seat and found a single book laying there. He picked it up, awaiting Malfoyās arrival.
āProfessor, apologies for disturbing you, but have you seen-ā Draco burst in, face slightly flushed.
āYour book is here, Draco,ā Snape handed it over to him with a level tone.Ā āAnd for the record, I do not find you or Y/N to create any inconveniences in my classā¦ā
āI-Iām sorry professor, you werenāt meant to-ā Dracoās face reddened even more.
āIt is quite alright, Mister Malfoy. I believe Y/N is waiting for you outside. Itās best not to keep them in suspense for long about your whereaboutsā¦ā Snape replied.
Draco nodded and dashed out as swiftly as he came in. Once again, Snape was left inside an empty room, all to himself.Ā
