“Okay, get out,” was all she said as she climbed out of her bed, hair a mess. Again. She would really have to stop falling into this situation with Augusto. You can’t tell me that rodent back there isn’t the worst at least part of the time. See? You don’t need to say ‘Not all men.’ I saved you. You’re welcome.” A sigh left her mouth that was more like a groan as she dropped her head against the back of the couch. “Well, of course I did. And this morning. I got ate out for like a half hour, sucked his dick and kicked him out. And how was your day? Did you get freshly fucked? You don’t look like you did, but you never know. Why are there so many—” She paused as she saw another precious darling. “Is that a new one?” She almost rolled her eyes, but she wasn’t going to. If they loved animals that much, she wasn’t going to hold against them. Well, she would against Derrick. Not Reagan though. Speaking of the rodent, she saw him flipping her off as he headed to the bedroom. “Hello to you, too, Derrick.” She plopped down on the couch next to the new dog and started petting it. “Get out of my apartment!” She rolled her eyes and focused on Reagan. “Men are the worst. How do you deal with being in a relationship with one. I mean, I can’t even believe I actively spend time around Augusto and he’s not even my boyfriend.”

“Good to know you’re taking this so seriously. I applaud your efforts.” She even slow clapped as if that was going to add more to how unimpressed she was by his words. And, almost as if he was doing it on purpose, there he went again. “You’re the baddest bitch in the room, Athena. You’re the baddest bitch in the room,” she muttered under her breath. It was her own way of calming herself down or even boosting her own confidence. In this situation, it was doing the former considering she was ready to castrate Augusto at any moment. Athena didn’t hate Augusto. No, that wasn’t it. She was just annoyed by his presence. Or so she pretended to be at least. The last thing she was going to do was actually start liking being around him. That would only lead to disaster and she had been involved in far too many disasters. She wasn’t going to be like Rea and be in a lifelong relationship with a man and about fifty pets. Right now, she was just fine with her dog and spending a small amount of time with Augusto as to not get too attached. However, to stop herself from jumping his bones again, she tossed his pants at him. “Any day now, you can put on some clothes.” She had a class to go teach and she would be damned if she missed it because he wouldn’t get out of her bed.
