"Alright, alright! Point taken on the hands.. I need those, you know."
[She eases, into the floor more than anything, closing her good eye and turning her head sideways to breathe. Her breath is sharp and uneven and she's angry - below the surface angry, but still. When she laughs, and she does, it sounds exactly like Kat's.]
"That's cute - really cute. I'm not sure you have the resources, but you're welcome to try - if she ever comes back."
[The image is taken in a department store - old christmas photo, perfect family-esque, cute kids... Kat's eyes are vacant, and unfocused, and she looks.. stiff and uncomfortable. She's moving away from her father's hand on her shoulder, or at least trying to.]
"I couldn't scare her off if I tried. I don't know exactly what she sees in you, but I'd be wrong to say you didn't deserve each other."
[She grins, turning her head so that she can see her glass eye. She almost looks dead. If only she weren't catching her breath.]
"She was a nightmare of a sister, you know? Taking whatever she wanted, doing anything to get her hands on it.. Though, well, I guess I couldn't blame her. We were both so little. We both stole a lot - it just was always me she'd steal from."
[She continues to laugh, breathlessly.]
"But you know the saying, and I'm only going to her to take back the one thing I want from her. I do know who scared her away, if you're wondering.. he knows where she is, too, I'm sure of it."
