Yes, if you trash on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and then turn around and recommend Epic the musical for it’s accuracy, you’re stupid.

HOWEVER ‼️

If you use Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey as an excuse to trash on Epic the musical, you’re also stupid.

Neither adaptation is accurate, but Epic is a musical passion project started on social media by a single college student as a senior thesis. Christopher Nolan’s movie had a $250 million budget and nearly a dozen A-list celebrities. Stop comparing them as if they are even in the same bracket.

I think one of the biggest tragedies of adults is losing your whimsy.

I work at a movie theater and since the latest toy story movie just came out I’ve been seeing a lot of kids come in lately, and I keep noticing that a lot of their parents are just not playing along with them if that makes sense? Like I had this little boy come in with his mom today and he was asking me if the theaters were magic and I was playing along for a second because why not and his mom just turned to me and told me to ignore him. IGNORE HIM??? Ma’am me and your four year old are having a very important conversation about magic currently, wdym ignore him?

I don’t know, things like that happened a couple times today and it just made me sad. Kids get a such a limited time to believe in things like magic, especially with the internet being as it is, why not let them have a little fun? Especially if you’re already taking the time out of your day to go see a kids movie. Suspend your disbelief for one second and have fun playing pretend, it’s not that hard I promise you.
