"I... Thought that all on my own," Sienna admitted quietly, her cheeks flushing a bright red over the fact that Sawyer called her out with ease. "It's okay, you don't have to be sorry. I guess being surprised is a lot better, even if I could kill you for it," she teased, unable to hide the smile on her face now as she looked up at him. She watched as he took a step back, then produced a beautiful bouquet of flowers from behind his back. Her smile only got bigger at the gesture, even if it was the most simplest gesture on Earth. Her ex-boyfriend never surprised her at her shows, never got her flowers just because. And that was precisely why Sawyer's gestures always meant a lot to Sienna. "They're beautiful," she nodded, taking the flowers from him so that she could inspect them and inhale their fresh scent. "No, I don't mind. You can stay as long as you're able to."

"Mhm." Sawyer's tone was gentle, but teasing as he pressed another kiss to her head. "Well that's the plan. Stick with you and then you stick with me, yeah? Then I get to steal you away to Cincinnati." And that was exactly what they did. He spent the next few days with her, watching her perform across the country before her final show in Madison Square Garden, where Sawyer joined in as thousands of people sang along with the woman of his dreams, seeing her happier than he ever thought possible. They stayed in New York when the tour wrapped up, mostly because Sawyer had his own work stuff to do, between appearances with Fanatics and appearances at the World Cup Final. That's where they were now, in a private suite watching the game and trying to figure out what the hell was going on. "So all I know is that there's an offsides, but it's different than NFL offsides."

All Carter could do when Lola turned to look at him was shrug his shoulders, as if he hadn't just done anything at all. The smirk on his face probably only pissed her off more, too, but that was entirely the point, wasn't it? He wasn't going to go easy on her, and she knew that. He picked his phone up from the arm rest of the chair he was sitting on and pretended as if he was texting someone, only to turn the vibrator off. Just for a second, to give Lola a little bit of grace. However, without warning again, he turned it back on (to a higher setting this time) and he continued to watch with smug satisfaction as she reacted while in the middle of trying to talk to her team. "I remember that, I think your fans really loved that experience," Carter chimed in, though he had no reason to, really. He was just doing it to piss her off more.

"Mhm." Lola could barely get words out, despite how much she wanted to. She had been buzzing with dozens of ideas when the meeting was set up. Now, she was buzzing for an entirely different reason, watching Carter through heavy eyes as he talked as if he had a say in anything, with her entire body literally in the palm of his hand. She glared at him, trying once again to straighten up. It was just like when they went to that white party together years ago. She managed to make the entire party walking around with the toy inside her, finding ways to sneak away or hide what was truly going on. She handled it like a true professional. So she sat up, casting another glare in Carter's direction before she addressed her team once more. "I was really thinking of going like...the next step. Maybe not a retreat or sleepover exactly, but something all day that feels like that."

Scarlett always hated when Xander had something up his sleeve, because it meant she genuinely had no idea what to expect. Every time she tried guessing something he was up to, it took her completely by surprise whenever she ended up finding out. She was sure whatever he was doing now was no exception. But as promised, she finished up her bath, got dressed, then headed downstairs. Before going out back, she grabbed the baby monitor from the living room just to keep an eye on Angelina while she slept (and since no other adult would be in the house for now) because she didn't know how long she was going to be outside with Xander. When she saw him standing outside of the aforementioned shed he'd been working on waiting for her, she raised a brow in confusion and crossed the backyard lawn to meet him there. "Okay, I'm here now. What do you have to show me?"

"Only the coolest thing ever." Xander had gotten used to figuring out what kind of gifts Scarlett liked. Usually practical, always personal. Nothing too extravagant, but just the right amount of cool and unique that she would enjoy and never would have thought to do herself. The nursery was the first thing, and now this was the second. An entire shed just for her to feel at peace and relax, to connect with her spirituality outside of the house or in her studio, where there was constant representations of things she had to do. Here, it would just be her and her hobbies. "I told you, I bought a shed to hold our things." He lifted the latch that served as the lock on the door, pulling it open and tilting his head. "Go see."

"They just can't help themselves, can they?" Jelani chuckled once more as he finally pulled Sidney off the counter to set her down on her feet again. "I dunno why that doesn't surprise me, but at least name dropping him gets you what you want most of the time. You could name drop me, too. I think I got a little bit of pull."

"Are you sure?" She used Carter's name mostly because she knew he wouldn't mind, and it worked out in the long run for both of them in their working relationship. But she felt guilty for using Jelani's name, since it was their actual relationship She reached for his hands as soon as her feet hit the floor, determined to keep close to him in some way. "I mean as long as you don't mind, I'll make some calls and make some arrangements."

It was a typical Sunday evening in the Hudson-Castillo household — they'd had dinner, Carter cleaned up after dinner, then they both got Emilia cleaned up and ready for bed later. While Gabi was taking a bath of her own, Emilia had asked Carter if he could try braiding her hair again (he was learning how to do it by watching YouTube videos) and was learning that it was pretty easy to do. So, now he was sat with his daughter in the living room on the floor practicing his braiding on her hair while watching Interstellar with her. The very movie that Gabriela didn't believe Emilia would actually be able to sit through, yet she was glued to the TV and quiet as ever while she watched. The fact that their daughter loved just about the same things that he did would never fail to make him feel like he'd won the fucking lottery in life.

A summer pregnancy wasn't necessarily Gabi's idea of a good time. She was extra hot all the time, she was tired all the time. She would take chilled baths just to free herself of the sweat and grime that she accumulated from even the simplest of tasks, like walking up and down stairs. She was grateful that Carter was more than willing to take care of Emi for the night while she relaxed, and seeing them together was a constant reminder that she was so happy to have their life now. She had just gotten out of the bath, and decided to do one last check on what Emi was up to before she and Carter tucked her into bed. She made her way downstairs, and was surprised to hear the vague sound of the television instead of their daughter's usual screams of laughter. Gabi quietly tiptoed out of the hallway and into the living room, watching from the doorway as Carter carefully wound Emi's hair into braids, while she sat and watched the movie on the tv. Some space thing that she was sure she knew the name of, but honestly couldn't remember. "Hey," she said, her voice soft. "What are you two up to?"

"Nah, it's no big deal, I promise. I just rushed into things when I probably shouldn't have. How very 'stereotypical lesbian' of me, I know," Jordan laughed again, hoping their reassurance was enough for Gabi to stop worrying. "See? Exactly. Years later, I now realize it probably wouldn't have lasted, anyway, even if she did say yes to me. She wasn't the right person for me. My subconscious knew before I did that I had to wait for one of the biggest popstars in the world to just fall into my lap instead."

"Eh, I'm not too worried. Tragedy means that we got the better options at the end of the day." Gabi smiled, letting out a soft laugh as she shook her head. "I don't know about biggest. And I know I didn't fall into your lap. I drunkenly hovered over it until I suckered you in."

"I know, but anything I can do to help, I will. You never had that before when you should have, and it's the bare minimum of what he should have done for you." Hayden couldn't help the smile that took over his face as he watched Jackie kiss his knuckles. "And it's not really me offering, nor suggesting because I'm not giving you choice. It's what is going to happen, point blank period."

"And like I said, that's more than he ever even thought about." Jackie didn't let go of Hayden's hand as she took another bite of her meal. Bare minimum. She's heard that term plenty recently, between her daughter rallying behind her amidst the divorce, and from the friends that remained after she announced her separation. Some, she realized, were only around because she was married. But it made sense, because at one point, she did the same thing. Only friends with people because they were married, and she was married. But now all that was over. "We'll cook together. It'll be fun."

Carter had no reason to be sitting in on the meeting Lola was having with her team, but with football season getting closer and closer, he wanted to spend every opportunity with her that he could. Even if that meant being quiet in the corner of the room while she worked on things with her team. Not to say he would be completely quiet, however. Ever since the night before, Carter had been fucking around with Lola, purposely turning her on and then not doing anything about it, but only because she’d been a brat lately by his definition. So, to serve as punishment, during the meeting, he was making her wear not only a plug, but also a vibrator that he could control with an app on his phone. He hadn’t put it to use yet because the meeting had just started, but his thumb was hovering over the button on the app to turn the vibrator on, just waiting for the right moment. And as if luck would have it, he saw Lola part her lips to say something, so he quickly took the opportunity and switched the vibrator on with a grin.

It should have been a bad idea. Letting Carter sit in on her meeting, agreeing to his conditions of sitting in her meeting with toys literally inside her. But she would do just about anything, after the way Carter teased her all night. She was desperate, quite frankly. Desperate enough to be here with him now, trying to plan the timeline for her next album. She had written a ton, but none of it felt right, so the idea was to get a general idea of when the label expected it. It was still too soon to start panicking, but not soon enough to start gathering ideas. Lola had turned the page of the printed timeline, prepared to ask about whether or not there were any future sponsorships planned, when she felt the buzzing start in her lower region. Her fingers tensed around the pen she held in her hand, eyes widening briefly before she quickly regained her composure, giving Carter a passing glance before trying to focus again on the task at hand. "I'm trying to figure out if it would be best to do another airbnb situation," she said, speaking slowly while looking at Carter again. "It seemed to work out well the last time."

A couple knocks at the door caught Kamari off guard, considering he'd been home alone. He was treating his mom to a day for herself, so he'd been by himself for a majority of the day. He wasn't expecting anyone, either, so he figured maybe it was just a package getting delivered or something. He paused his game, then got up from his chair and made his way to the front door before opening it, only to reveal Sawyer on the other side of it. He definitely hadn't expected him to show up because he never said he was coming, but he has happy to see him, nonetheless. "Man, what the hell." Kamari couldn't even hide the smile on his face or the laugh that had escaped as he folded his arms over his chest. "Whatchu doin' here? You get bored in Italy or somethin'?"

"Yes." Sawyer's tone was simple, obvious, as if there was no other way to answer Kamari's question. "I told you, it was boring without you." Still, it felt good to see him, after what felt like ages away from him. Even though it wasn't necessarily ages, just a literal ocean and a few continents. "What, you didn't miss me? You're just gonna let me stand here on your porch like a fool?" He looked around, eyeing the neighboring houses with an amused smile. "I could start shouting if you like. Draw attention."

Sienna didn't want to get her hopes up after she'd texted Sawyer asking if he would be at her LA show and didn't get an answer in response. She knew there was still a chance he was in Italy and she didn't want to bother him if he was busy. So, she shoved down those thoughts to the back of her mind and went about her day until it was time for soundcheck. Fans would start pouring in soon for the soundcheck and while she made her way to the stage to test if her microphone was working, the sound of what appeared to be Sawyer's voice stopped her in her tracks. Confused, Sienna looked around the arena looking for him until she locked eyes with him standing in the empty (for now) crowd with a bouquet of flowers in his hand. A slow smile worked its way to her lips and she immediately ran off stage, down the steps into the empty crowd and practically threw her arms around him when she reached him. "I thought you weren't coming," she said quietly, looking up at him as her smile only grew bigger in size.

"Now, did I tell you that? Or did you think that all on your own?" Sawyer grinned, looking down at Sienna as she wrapped her arms around him. "I wanted to make sure I got here in time, so I took an overnight flight. Sorry I didn't answer you right away." Sawyer leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to the top of Sienna's head. "I told you, I'm always going to be here no matter what." He held her with one arm while he took a step back with another, still keeping her close enough while he held out the flowers. "These are for you," he said. "Your favorite." He leaned in to press another kiss to her head, far too excited to see her to spare any moment not being affectionate with her in some way. "Hope you don't mind, I brought my luggage with me straight from the airport. I figured I'd crash with you and ride with you on the bus for a little bit."
