This one went through a few iterations, as such it took a bit longer than I would have liked. Power was going to star in this one, but I changed it to Yoru last minute, it just fit better. I listened to Godspeed You Black Emperor while finishing it. The text in Uncle Sam's mouth is taken from a black emperor cover. Tohu va-bohu means a few things: without form, and void. unseen and unformed. For my purposes, it means a return to man's primordial state, his beginning and end. We will return to that place, we do return to that place, we are in that place.

Shade the Changing Man's first arc 'The American Scream' is what motivated the final direction of this. I fully recommend the comic; it's a vertigo classic for a reason. It's about all the madness on earth.

Inspired by a vintage beer ad. Tits are weird; you'd think they'd be easy to draw but no, I had difficulties making them look right here. I'm still not really satisfied with them. Still can't draw shoes to save my life but I'll get there. I used the same brushes as last post, textured ones mostly, gives the shadows an ashy look I like. I didn't texture her clothes like I usually do, that's because the bulk of the work went toward the background. I'll do it next time as I really love the process. I also forgot a signature, I've been doing that a lot, I'm sure I'll remember next time. Felt good to do graphic design related stuff again.

I drew this for chapter two of the Hardest Part Is Over.

It's been like two weeks since last time, I need to meta meditate on my own agency. Her right eye's all wonky because it's lazy, I went for an abstraction of its uselessness. She can't really use it to see, so you can't really see it. The only reason this isn't just a headshot like last time is because the animal on her shoulder is important. It acts as reflection of her psyche, half-delusion, half-psyker vison belonging to the protagonist. Almost done writing that second chapter, put a next Wednesday deadline for it on release of the first, so much for that.

I drew this sketch for a fanfic/art project thing I'm doing. I kinda messed up the positionin of the forehead slit tau have, but by the time I really noticed I decided to just keep that in mind next time. I had fun on this one, a lot of fun. It was good to do somethin small. Now that Chainsaw Man has come to a close, it's cemented its place in my life. I'll always come back to it, but now I'll be doin whatever else I like too. The fanfic's name is The Hardest Part Is Over. Named after a lyric in Tame impala's 'On Track'

I'm back! Spent too long on this, and still didn't finish it, ain't that a bitch? I got bored, real bored with it, that's cause I stayed put too long, stagnated. Sorry really, I've had a bad track record as of recent. Stuck in the midst of irrational reaction to my own shortcomings. But I've recovered, I hope. I've got ideas a lot of em, my artistic instinct has not left me. Somethin new, Warhammer shit maybe we'll see. Something smaller fer sure

I've been gone for a while, like two weeks? Couldn't tell ya why. I have trouble doin things sometimes. This is another experiment; I wanted to see what I could do without as much reference. It was alright, troubled myself mad colorin Power. I just couldn't decide what to do. Never finished it but it was more for the learnin experience anyway. A lot of the colors you see were knicked from Gigi Cavenago's works. Check em out, his color work is somethin else.

This was mainly inspired by fantasy art of the 80s. Frank Ferzetta and his ilk. I've got this brewin interest in the idea of 'Savagery'. You'll be seein more of that.

I used new brushes this time, impressionistic ones. Used em for the waves. They're really fun to use, I only half-knew what I was doing and still managed alright.

Tried line art, which I've been neglecting for a bit now. I'm gettin used to fuckin round with filters and text. It's really annoying, the final product is worth it, but the process takes it out of me.

Again, I went a graphic design direction and again, Krita isn't made fer that. All them boxes Himeno's in are a little scuffed but whatever. I'm a firm believer in the 'Looks good enough' school of art. Next time I'll just draw a layer in Krita, then edit it in GIMP. There's this 30-minute tutorial on the program I'll need to go over though.

This leans more in a graphic design direction. Krita is not made for that, so from here on out I might need to learn GIMP or somethin'. It's a mockup of a fan comic cover. I'm thinkin' about makin' one but that will not be coming out in any sort of timely matter. I liked the ending btw. And it was just as funny as I thought it'd be watching people react to it. The Nayuta truthers were right, who'd a thunk huh.

This is an abandoned work. You ever start on an idea and go about doing it, but some way into the process yer heart ain't in it? That's what happened. I got all the color down and realized I wasn't havin' fun. last thing I did was place that text down. (Font Banhaus 93 or 95 can't rightly recall.) the idea was nice; I've found I don't have much fun when I'm drawing an ensemble. I like when things are more focused on a singular subject. It's also way easier and that's nice fer a slacker like me.

It been funny as hell seeing people go crazy. Saw a guy post Egyptian Hieroglyphics above an image sayin' Nayuta's comin' back. Holy shit!
