“Is that what this is?” he spun around quite enthusiastically, spotting the few laggers that still stood around the area. “i almost thought that’d i’d walked in on the middle of pride but i was sure i would have known about that.” bay looked down at his camera and then back at tai and gasped. “you’re – tai duke! like you need me, holy crap – you’re already amazing. like – i am a huge fan, huge.”

“Nah, I definitely would be decked out in purple and pink if it was, don’t worry.” Tai chirped, tossing her hair over her shoulder. Her eyes widened as the boy apparently recognized her. “I am! How’d you...Oh right. You know, sometimes I forget people actually watched that show.” she grinned at the slightly taller boy. “Aw, thanks love. I’m sure I’d be a big fan of yours too!” she gestured at the camera in his hands. “What’s your channel?”

Probably not, but it’s kinda cool. Oooh, did you know that Italy is shaped like a boot?

Evelyn’s hair stuck to her scalp in two, tight braids, raising like ridges before falling down in thick ropes over her shoulders. Her head was ducked down, clearly engrossed tin the novel she’d nestled between a half empty coffee mug and a dirty plate, recently emptied of egg and toast. Her mouth moved soundlessly, as if she were reciting the novel to herself, tasting each word her eyes ran over. Just as her hand lifted to grasp the mug again, going to finish the final dregs in her cup, she started and her eyes glanced up. Her shoulders slackened some as she stared up at the person before her, her brow raising slightly in question. Evelyn leaned back, away from the table, settling into her chair, “Yes?”

Tai stepped out of her favorite local cafe with a croissant held in between her teeth and a chai grasped in her hands. Her hair blew around her as the summer breeze picked up, latching onto her eyelashes and causing her to curse loudly around the pastry in her mouth. A quick glance to her left and right told her that her favorite outside table was occupied- by a slender girl who looked to be around her age. She made her way over to the table, either friendship or flirting on her mind. Whatever guaranteed her spot that sat in just the right amount of sunlight. She stopped short at the girl’s side and a smirk grew on her lips. “Evelyn Russo, as I live and breathe. Fancy seeing you here.” she dropped herself into the unoccupied seat with a grin.

Oliver finally reached his house, but instead of walking in he just stared at the ‘for sale’ sign in his front yard, and looked at it with nothing but hatred and annoyance burning up inside him. He thought he felt like shit and got pissed off when he put that up, but obviously it wasn’t as bad as how he felt when he just came back from selling three of his nicest cars, leaving him with just one. He slumped himself down on the curb of the sidewalk, looking just as miserable as he felt as he thought about all that went wrong in his life in just a matter of a few days.  //FOR PEOPLE HE KNOWS: He looked up, and saw a familiar face give him looks. “Great, just what I needed — you to catch me on possibly one of the worst days of my life.” he gave a sarcastic little smile, followed by an eye roll. //FOR PEOPLE HE DOES NOT KNOW: he looked up and saw a stranger give him weird looks, and spoke up, “What? Enjoying the show?” he scowled. 

The group of girls that surrounded Tai emitted a loud peal of laughter that echoed down the street as they made their way to a local night club. She marched confidently in her heeled boots as she scrolled through her phone, gathering a large group together with just a brush of her fingers across the screen. She did a double-take as she spotted a familiar, and very unhappy, face out of the corner of her eye. She realized she had perhaps stared a bit too hard at the man before her when he snapped, getting her attention and earning rude remarks from her friends. “What? No, I,” she glanced at the girls impatiently waiting for her and waved them away mouthing “I’ll catch up”. She crossed her arms and looked down at the man. “You look really familiar, that’s all.”

No, I didn’t. I threw it. On purpose. Serves him right for- Logan. Of fucking course. You somehow always know when to catch me while looking a mess. Excuse the uh- face glitter. 

“listen, all i’m saying is that i’ve been to all the best museums. seen the mona lisa, starry night, the swing.. all of those and i’ve cried just looking at those. but the most spiritual experience i’ve had is seeing hamilton and i think that just means i’ve got to change my career path, right? i wouldn’t be able to be in hamilton— maybe i could shoot for wicked or something though. what do you think? could i be the next indina menzel?”

Everything you just said went through one ear and out the other, I’m sorry ‘lil Morgan. All I know is that Hamilton fans literally clog my commute to work, and if you become part of that reason, I have no choice but to hold a grudge against you.

Spending time in Italy made me realise that the leaning tower of Pisa is literally an italicised building in Italy and I find that kinda cool. This is the kind of knowledge I pick up on in new places, none of the important shit.

I’m not so sure that was their intention, but you’re not totally wrong. Any other random facts about Italy I’m unaware of?

“I’ve never seen so many people out here before, have I missed something? Was there some sort of parade that I wasn’t informed of? I’ve only been gone a couple of months, I can’t even get into my apartment since I’m pretty sure the street is blocked off. I knew it, I just knew New York was going to fall apart without me. I’ve been carrying this pizza for six blocks now and I still can’t find a way through, guess I’m just going to have to sit and eat on the streets like a homeless guy. I’ve already accepted that I’m going to have to sleep on a bench.” Bay stopped talking when he heard someone approach near by and immediately began to blush, his usual reaction when he was caught vlogging in public. He should have been used to it by now, he’d been doing it since he was 14.

“Oh, this mess? Yeah, you just missed the bi-monthly New York apocalypse. You know how it goes.” Tai pursped her lips into a smile as she caught sight of the boy clearly video taping himself. In reality, there had been a march held by some sort of organization she couldn’t bother to care about, and was on her way home from a long shift. “Don’t stop on my account. Think you could make me famous?” she cocked her head to the side, squinting at the camera he held in his hands.
