“Yeah like, of course I am nice to the person you want to date! Why wouldn’t I be?” He seemed to be not fully sober at this moment. It was hard to tell if he was serious but he seemed a tad annoyed, then again when didn’t he? “Well i guess you gotta be a huge joke to tell jokes don’t ya?” He was grinning. Was this supposed to be a joked???

I suppose that’s a given... [....] What if I don’t really know what he’s into, though?

Helma pressed her luck only on few occasions; whether is was about a malicious matter or something that she knew went against her own facts. Sometimes they worked out, most times (especially currently) they didn’t work out at all and she was left to bring herself back and regroup to figure out what exactly she was trying to find.  So it took her too Berlin, by herself and without anything to show for it. But again, she was in Berlin, a historical marvel, even in this trying time for it’s people. She sipped her drink at the bar, a short Manhattan with a maraschino cheery picked from the top. She played with the stem in between her fingers as the man’s voice gruffly rinsed the air.  She gave him a gestured glance, avoiding looking him up an down, she know the state the people were in, it was best to not insult further. The whole world was rough.  “Failed dreams and hope.” She answered, turning in her seat, “I’m Helma, a pleasure.”

Aldrich frowned lightly, he couldn’t quite put his finger on it- his eyes widened slightly and he shook his head “Ah, I see. You look almost like one of my little ones. Hmm.” The burst of realization faded as he reached up to rub his chin thoughtfully, really taking liberty with looking the other over after his initial reaction.

“It was an instinctive reaction when that asshole stepped too close! He should be glad I didn’t kill him!” That would have been problematic with so many people around, thought, too many witnesses. “Listen, I’m not sorry about this, if anything they had an excessive reaction by calling the police just because I was threatening someone. Back in my days a real man would have accepted my challenge!” See? It’s the other’s fault after all!  “Kuro will be fine, you know how efficient he can be and no it’s not. I’m fine on my own.”
