I want to paint a picture for you all.
So. Before Cavalier got together with Zulor and Ezekiel, they were both flirting with him. They were both fighting over who got to court him. Now. I would like to point out that, despite the flirting being pretty obvious if you knew anything about harpy culture, it was not obvious to Cavalier. Because he did not know anything about harpy culture.
Eventually, they stopped fighting over who got to court him, and decided that they’d work together to court him. Now, i would like to explain something else, Zulor, is part Shrike. So, he courts by impaling prey items onto sharp objects to display his hunting capabilities. And with Ezekiel helping, there was twice as much impaled prey.
Now. Cavalier at this point still did not know he was being flirted with. He did however, see an entire tree of things impaled. Some fish, some deer, some bags of snacks from the gas station, and just kinda. Assumed his life was being threatened.
