This week in history, June 3rd 1944, The #ZootSuitRiots would begin in Los Angeles as sailors attacked Zoot Suiters and vice versa. The incident would spark riots all across the country. Black zoot Suiters were also the target of attacks for sporting the "anti-American" threads. Many Zoot Suiters were beaten and stripped of their clothing as seen on this photo.
