hi everyone! my name is maddy (she/her) and this is my blog dedicated to ZOOM! it’s one of my biggest special interests, and even though it was created before I was born, I still like to watch it for the fun, vintage fashion, and of course seeing how all the kids got along and had a great time!
if by any chance you do not know what ZOOM is, it was a tv show by kids and for kids starting real kids (not child actors, although some went into careers in performing when they became adults!) that relied on mail from viewers, such as plays, jokes, challenges, and a lot of other things like that. It was one of the first TV shows that was truly interactive, and a lot of viewers felt that the show made them feel like they belonged.
for me, I like the show because I like seeing how all the kids got along. They were all so different and had lots of different experiences and personalities, but each and every one of them was unique and had something to appreciate about them. Some fans even said that certain ZOOMers reminded them of themselves or people they knew, which warms my heart! Some of the zoomers seem familiar to me in that way as well, which is nice. Overall, I really appreciate how the show made people feel like they belonged to something bigger than themself!
Here’s a bit about me:
- I’m 20 years old
- I first discovered ZOOM when I was 15, because I was a big fan of other shows that had kids performing and acting like that, and once I found ZOOM, it became my favorite!
- I’m autistic and have anxiety.
- some of my hobbies include creative writing, drawing, and spending time with friends and fam.
- favorite reboot zoomers are alisa and zoe, and favorite original zoomers are cate and carmen
In general this is just a silly little page to remember one of pbs’s greatest shows. be kind and have fun!
