I went to the zoo today and have a mild sunburn, dehydration, and bug bites to show for it. But I also have a picture of napping wild doggos!!
There was a baby Giraffe but I couldn't get a good (or any) picture because they were inside still, it causes me great sorrow.
omgggg look at all of them - they taking a big sleep ><
(that’s the one reason I hate going outside - bugs love me and the sun is the worst (curse you sun I will cover myself in sunscreen - no touchy))

So I was at the zoo today she they had a short presentation with the macaws (very cool! Flew over us!) And there was a little q&a time after and. This one lady asked like, when they got their bright colors. The man started talking about their ages and how fast they grow. And the woman was like, "they don't have feathers when they hatch?"
"No"
"then what do they look like?"
And he described them as "like a chicken breast, but with eyes" (which I found HILARIOUS)
but the lady was still confused just like. "No feathers at all??"
And I chimed in and said "yeah baby birds are super ugly. Just like, so ugly they become cute, but mostly ugly" and the bird man just nodded with me
The lady said kinda quietly "oh that's kind of mean... I'll have to look up some pictures when I get home"
Man I wish I could see her face when she sees the ugly little chicken breasts with eyes

Today was a day off and the first day of autumn! 🍂🍁
So the munchkin and I went to the zoo! And then I’ve got I-9 work to do for the new job. Fun day!
I also kinda missed getting dressy on the regular which will be necessary for this job. Should be fun!
THESE BABY BIRDIES AT MY AUNTS NURSING HOME HAD EGGS!!! There is 6 of dem!!! They are super tiny and super cute!!!

If you look closely, Honey Bears, you can see a few itty bitty eggs in the nest! Now, I BELIEVE that is a Silver Florida Fancy Zebra Finch! Or a Florida Silver for short. There are many many combinations of finches. Zebra Finches are commonly found in Central Australia and are the the allele to these little guys!
