Ooh, a tie between rice and bread! She loves food from the Far East the most, but give her a slice of warm bread with a little herb butter on it and she'll be your best friend.

♦ What was the first lie your OC ever believed? How did they come to learn the truth? Or have they yet to do so? In Alaria's (side)quest to learn more about what little of her past she remembers, she had once had hope that she would learn of her parents. That they wanted her, that she wasn't given away, that she was never experimented on, that she mattered to someone. It was a lie she told herself every day for the better part of three years and some days, a tiny part of her still believes it.

♦ Would your OC ever read the private diary of a friend or lover, if they had the opportunity? This one time, in Garlemald, Alisaie left her diary peeking out of her backpack after they'd all raced off for soup and Alaria hung behind because tiredness was winning out over hunger and she'd just got her body back (damn you, Fandaniel) and she didn't even try to read it. She just stuffed it down and Alisaie's pack and zipped it closed. Now, G'raha's diary would be another story...

I kid, I kid. She's a pretty honest gal.

♦ What is your OC's view on "lying by omission"? Is it as bad as outright lying in their view? Not as bad as outright lying, in her opinion! Sometimes a lie by omission, though it's still a lie, is necessary for subterfuge and also keeping some of her own secrets.

♦ Has your OC ever had a secret crush on another person? Did they ever confide in anyone else about these feelings? Or were they buried too deep? Oh my, well... the whole world knows Alaria has a crush on G'raha. Hell, she's convinced he himself knows sometimes! But she tries her best to be subtle. She once harbored a secret crush on Y'sholta, but Y'shtola is waaaaay smarter that Alaria ever gave her credit for because she figured it out within, oh, about twenty minutes. When confronted, she laughed it off and tried to play dumb, but her cheeks were pinker than they've ever been and Y'shtola snorted a giggle and gave her a kiss on her too-warm cheek.

As for sharing her feelings about her secret crush, Y'shtola knows, obviously. And Alisaie figured her out shortly after G'raha came back from the First and asked her about it, so she told her how she felt. Those G'raha feelings are way down deep deep down.

♦ Does your OC ever tell "white lies" to spare someone's feelings, or to protect them from an upsetting truth? Or are they unsparingly blunt and uncompromisingly honest? (Little White Lies by One Direction is playing quietly, yet vehemently in my brain as I answer this one. And yes I am a boy band nerd, I humbly apologize.) Blunt and uncompromising are Alaria's middle names??? She's truthful to a fault. If you ask her opinion, you're getting a clear answer on how she feels. She doesn't mean to be hateful or unkind, but she is a no nonsense kind of girl (and perhaps she has learned from her plight and journey that half-truths and partial opinions lead one nowhere).

♦ Is your OC secretive about their wealth? Or are they open about their financial or material resources? Alaria is not secretive about her wealth (or lack thereof, if we're being honest). She's rich in material resources, without a doubt, but is TREMENDOUSLY terrible with money management and she'll be the first one to tell you. Tataru thinks she could rival Estinien and Alphinaud at the rate she spends!
