HELLO DID THEY WATCH IT WITH THEIR EYE CLOSED THE SECOND EPISODE LITERALLY HAS WIRNY CRITICIZING THE MILITARY EVEN IN ROSES EPISODE THEY CRITICIZE IT… the whole point of fmab is that it’s anti-colonialist which we all know but the anti militarism theme are there . Edward represents teens who join the military bc that’s their only chance to succeed in life. I’ve seen this first hand people in my school join the military to be able just to go to collage bc it’s too expensive. Roy represents the idealism of what some patriotism think it being in the military will be like. Then seeing people like kimblee who represents nationalistic ideologies of the ishvalen war. Kimblee represents what the military ACTUALLY is, it’s evil and power hungry. The military takes advantage people like the Elrics and Mustang. The military was literally being controlled BY THR VILLAN KNOWING WHAT WAS GOING ON. Anyways this was my opinion on that topic.
