Starting the year off right with a bit of Sen/Shi shipping. Ami Mizuno and Zoisite, of course. I figured it was appropriate to start with them, first, since they were the first of the set I drew two years ago when I started getting back into art. Also... I just really wanted to draw an underwater scene, and who better, right?

A sneak peak into the production process! The image in the right corner has a document I don't recognize at the bottom, one of top of it is the concept script with the Usagi silhouette, on top of that is the blank pages for the storyboard. Final document on top is the AR script after goes to the seiyuu.

Concept script featured here is for episode 54, one I do not own.

My Japanese is not nearly good enough to translate all of this. It looks like the director is the one that draws the storyboard. This make sense as their are different directors for each episode allowing many episodes to be worked on at once.

Afterward it goes to the animators and the background artists. It looks like the person in the upper left hand corner is checking multiple pages for a scene.

Once the art is done it is copied to a cell.

Once it is on a cell, it is painted. The pained side is the first income on top of Sailor Jupiter without lines. Then they capture the full image.

Next page is putting the cell together with the background and putting together the AR Script. Time for the seiyuu!
