Zinfandel Spaghetti is a delightful pasta dish that combines the bold flavors of Zinfandel wine with a savory tomato-based sauce. It's a perfect marriage of Italian and Californian cuisines, creating a rich and satisfying meal.
Ingredients: 300g spaghetti. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup Zinfandel wine. 1 can 400g crushed tomatoes. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes. Salt and pepper to taste. Grated Parmesan cheese for serving. Fresh basil leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the spaghetti until it is al dente. Remove the water and set it aside. Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about one minute, until the garlic smells good. Then add the Zinfandel wine and let it simmer for two to three minutes to make it a little less thick. Add the dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, mixed in. Let the sauce cook on low heat for 10 minutes to let the flavors blend. Toss the cooked spaghetti in the pan with the sauce until it is well covered. Add grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves on top while the food is still hot.
