Sports journalist Faizan Lakhani volunteered at the SMB Fatima Jinnah Govt Girls School to talk to our summer camp students about the history of Pakistani sports, going through the major highlights, achievements of national teams and superstars, specially women, and exchanged interesting and inspirational stories about players he has interacted with. #TodayAtCamp we got a lesson in stenciling for positive, happy graffiti with #Karachi artist and teacher @AnamShakilKhan, whose work you may be familiar with from Karachi's walls, painted over graffiti, specially by the containers on M.T. Khan Road http://t.co/mFgWlqtnfT
Health, safety and environment consultant Naeem Sadiq gave a lively and inspirational talk to the students and graduates of the Khatoon-e-Pakistan Government Girls School on How Citizens Can Lead Change. He had the students identify problems in their environment, such as open garbage, noise and air pollution, violent crime, etc. The students were then guided to come up with steps to solve these problems and they promised to implement their collective solutions in their homes and neighbourhoods. They also vowed to read a non-course book once a month as well as to do their bit to make their neighbourhoods and school gun-free. They will be asked to report on their progress in about a month's time!
