@zigzag-wanderer here comes a very silly snippet, sent with the hope it could cheer you up. Unbetaed and potentially terrible, but maybe you like the idea xD
Dull white cloud streamed across an even dullest blue sky, over a dull green valley in the most recondite patch of Equestria. Hannibal yawned, extending one of his posterior paw to come and scratch his sheepy beard, while snapping the fingers of his chicken hand. At the sound, the clouds changed to purple spirals which promptly rained confetti.
Hannibal smirked; it was still a boring day but at least he was working to improve it.
A yell resonated from the now pink-and-orange glass, reverberating in his single antler. Normally Hannibal would remove the mouth from the pony, or chicken, or alicorn, who dared to interrupt him; but he was bored. He glided close to a very small pony, not even bothering with a grand entrance. He was so small, probably seeing The Lord Of Chaos would be enough to have him recoil.
He did not. Instead, he squared up his shoulders and said, “Please go somewhere else.”
Hannibal curled his lips at the tiny colt who dared to give him an order. He made a velvet armchair appear out of thin air and sat, back perfectly straight to tower over the pony. “Why should I?”
The pony trembled, avoiding Hannibal’s eyes, but did not gave ground. “Because we need to farm the land. We don’t need your rainbow rocks, talking corn and coke clouds. They ruin the harvest.”
Hannibal leaned towards the pony, pleased when he did not move. Amusing. He said, “But it’s interesting to see everypony’s reaction, isn’t it?”
The pony’s eyes widened, but a yell cut off his reply. “Will!” A red pony was galloping towards them. He froze as he saw Hannibal, then took a tentative step, then stopped again, undecided. Hannibal looked away. Boring.
A fence fell from the sky, separating Hannibal and Will from the meddling adult pony. Will winced at the noise. Hannibal offered him a cup of tea from behind his back, and the colt tentatively took it.
He seemed thoughtful, and Hannibal let him mull his answer over for the space of few sips. He had earned it.
Eventually, Will took a breath. He met his eyes for the first time and said, “But. If you keep doing it, the people run away. They always run away. It’s… sad to see the same reaction every day, isn’t it?”
When he opened his eyes, Will had a cutie mark in the shape of a chimera. They both looked stunned for a moment, than Hannibal said, “Well. I suppose I can change my method in this one case.”
