Michael Von Zichy Detail of another original plate from the very rare folio ’ LIEBE ’. Only 300 sets were printed and distributed to subscribers in Leipzig in 1911. The justification page states that after printing the plates were destroyed, thus ensuring no further editions could be printed. Purportedly Zichy only used members of the Paris art community as his models and not prostitutes as would be the norm for artists rendering nudes in this period (sketches made in 1874). $450.00 Facsimile of title and justification pages included.
