thank you so much for writing in! there's really not a lot of "style" to him when i draw him cause i'm usually making direct eye contact with his 3 art book reference lmao. i will fix that.

I'm not saying it's canon.... but Zero and Fl4k are totally best friends..
The Canon LGBTAQ+ Character of the day is:
Zer0 from Borderlands who is non-binary!
Word count: 657
Zer0, the haiku hitman from Borderlands 2. I have the most fun coming up with his dialogue, and his thirst for challenge makes for interesting dynamics. Potential rp starter? Who knows.

"Another vault, huh?"
The mercenary tutted, tapping his fingers on the countertop. To his left was another, face concealed beneath a mask who's black visor reflected the image of his own.
"You prey on a man's weakness."
Eridian vaults seemed like the ultimate prize; fame, fortune, challenge, and glory, all wrapped up in a little, eridium drenched bow. Zero's work as a mercenary paled in comparison to the taste of a vault, even with the reputation he boasted.
"Tell me what you know."
The one beside him laughed, though it came only as a puff of breath into the helmet's microphone. "There you go again, assuming I'm going to give you the answers that easily." Zero felt his muscles tense. If it were anyone else, the information would be his in an instant, but he knew better threaten this one. One hand fell the bar, resting against the revolver on the assassin's hip.
"Name your price then, girl.
You waste my time here with this.
I know it's not free."
Nothing she offered came without a price. Either she wanted a cut or a favor, and the latter was a dangerous investment. Seconds passed like hours as Zero's colleague—even calling her that was a stretch—pondered his offer. "You're learning, that's for sure." She tapped the lip of her glass with a fingertip, delicate digits illusioned beneath dangerous gauntlets. "I have a contract for you. In the Aemora sector." She began, flicking through tabs displayed on her wrist's tech pad. "They've got everything you'd need to know about the vault." The mercenary digistructed a package and slid it across the bar, resting it in front of Zero. It was some piece of tech equipment he didn't recognize. "The only thing I need you to do is deliver this. What you with them after," she offered a shrug. "that's up to you."
"What's the catch?"
"Tsk tsk, you think so negatively of me, darling." She stood from her seat, tossing a wad of cash on the counter to pay off her drinks. "You may be catching on, but you still have a long way to go, chuvak." A wing sharing the same shade as the woman's visor brushed under Zero's chin, causing the vault hunter to draw his weapon. In moments they both had a pistol pointed at one another's visors, Zero's displaying a signature 0 over his otherwise expressionless face. "We think alike, Zero. That's why we don't get along."
Although both of them walked away from the encounter with what they wanted, Zero retained his air of caution. The vault hunter feared nothing, but this woman was what fueled his thrill for this contest.
To kill one's rival,
no greater challenge exists.
Your blood, my triumph.
True, the vaults were a seemingly endless bath of glory, but only if you survive the encounter. Both times Zero had the opportunity of opening a vault, the circumstances were... less than ideal, put frankly. So much more occurred over the surface that the vault's glory was all but overshadowed, including Zero's involvement. This vault was his one chance to seize victory, and with that would come his true calling. The Aemora sector was about as backwater as Pandora, and the sight brought back memories; both fond and... less so. One look at the place told Zero this is where he needed to be, since it had vault written all over it. Literally, as the crusty town's buildings had nothing but "vault" and the symbol graffitied everywhere you could fit a spray can.
Charming.
Following the signs pointed him towards the unnamed contract his colleague—
Need a better word.
directed him to. He tested the door, his black faceplate displaying a simple ... as he pushed. With deadbolts unlocked, the door creaked open and Zero entered, package in hand.
"I have a contract.
Something for you, and for me."
He held up the trinket given to him.
"This one is for you."
