for the lgbt+ memories ask game: almost everyone I was closer with was some shade of lgbt, a good chunk of them were bi.
For me personally? A few of them would refer to me as agender, which while it was technically correct, I never really called myself that. I came from a species that only had 1 sex and no concept of gender, so lack of a gender was a given. Still, it seems like an important thing to humans and I never cared enough to correct them, nor did I feel like sharing personal info about my species, so it was whatever. Me and Fl4k in my canon had very similar experiences, I believe. In this life when I have to describe myself in the 3rd person I do call myself agender now, so I get it. Using human terms to get the point accross.
As for general environment? Pandora certainly was something. I'm not going to pretend everyone was a-ok with everything, it attracted a lot of different varieties of unsavory types, but it turns out when some of the strongest badasses on the planet are queer you learn to keep your mouth shut or you don't last long ✌️
