First snow fun time !

Ahh my old favourite ship of Zephyr and Dashie. This time they are not alone anymore <3

Welcome to the DislikedVerse, aka the Disliked Ships AU. This is in no way meant to be a platform for hate, it's just an excuse for me to make some cute or interesting fankids for MLP ships I don't particularly care about.

Anyway, these three kids are the children of Rainbow Dash and Zephyr Breeze. As for how they got together, the idea I have in my head is that the two of them spent a drunken night together and later ended up having a shotgun marriage when Dash discovered that she was pregnant. Their relationship is more or less the same as it was in canon: Zephyr is still under the narcissistic belief that she's obsessed with him and Rainbow still finds him obnoxious, but they're trying to make their relationship work for the sake of their kids. Zephyr often drives her nuts which once resulted in her spending the night with somepony else when their oldest foal was still a baby, but that's another story.

Water Lily is 19 years old and the oldest of the bunch. She's a trans mare who inherited her large size from her maternal grandfather Bow Hothoof. Lily came out when she was 16 which was both a joyful and a sad time for her as she was dating a girl at the time who ended up dumping her because she "didn't want to date another mare". It was kind of a rough period for her, but she was able to heal thanks to her family. Water Lily's talent is making homemade soaps and shampoos.

Dewdrop Dazzle is 13 years old and an aspiring makeup artist. She actually discovered her talent thanks to Water Lily: after she came out, Dewdrop offered to help her apply makeup which resulted in her getting her cutie mark. She and Lily are very close because of this and Dewdrop is often giving her big sister tips on how to look her best.

Gusty Storm is 10 years old and loves to paint. Like, REALLY loves to paint. It's not uncommon for him to be covered in various paint splotches after working on his latest masterpiece. Rainbow Dash finds it kinda annoying having to clean up after him so much, but she and Zephyr still support their little artist son nonetheless.

MLP ver

Cons:

-Zephyr Breeze (at least in my opinion) is a VERY UNLIKABLE CHARACTER. He's a bum, a giant flirt, a terrible liar, egotistical, and keeps advancing on Rainbow Dash despite her feelings of him AND her constant rejections. It also bothers me how people hate Flash and Timber for petty things but then finds Zephyr charming. If he has AT LEAST gotten any development from either series, then I would have given credit when it was due, but he stayed the same both series runs. The ONLY positive light that I see him in is being shipped with both Tree Hugger and Sandalwood (but even then it's a thin line).

-Like I said above, Rainbow Dash doesn't return his feelings AT ALL. Probably even dislikes him.

-Their personalities clash too much. Also, NOTHING in either series shows that they could work out.

-Zephyr constantly lies to Rainbow Dash, just to get her to like him. Like, I get it. I understand he wants Rainbow to like him, but he should just be himself. He shouldn't push things.

-Zephyr gets over on people a lot, including Rainbow.

-They don't really look that good together tbh :/

-I would HATE to see what their marriage life would look like.

-I don't see them bringing the best out of each other at all.

Pros:

-I mean, I GUESS there's room for improvement and development on Zephyr's part.

-Maybe if the show gave Zephyr more redeemable traits and maybe if he shares some similar interest to Rainbow, then MAYBE I could give it a chance?

-I GUESS it could be a "opposites attract" relationship?

EQG ver

Cons:

-EQG Zephyr is just as pathetic as MLP Zephyr. He's exactly the same as his pony counterpart, which I dislike.

-My problems with EQG ZephyrDash are the exact same problems that I have with MLP ZephyrDash and Zephyr himself.

-Like MLP ZephyrDash, their personalities clash too much, Zephyr constantly lies to Rainbow Dash, Zephyr gets over on Rainbow, and they don't look good together at all.

-I think I might even dislike EQG ZephyrDash more.

-The fact that Zephyr made it into EQG while other interesting characters from the original series didn't really makes my blood boil...

-Since it appears that they made Zephyr much older than he looks in the MLP series (and made him Fluttershy's older brother instead of younger brother), Rainbow being paired with him in EQG looks SO WEIRD to me. He looks like an adult! I mean, I know some high schoolers can look like adults SOMETIMES (puberty), it happens, but still 🤢

-The Christmas Special shows how unlikeable he is (imo).

Pros:

-Same as the pros of MLP ZephyrDash (improvement and development on Zephyr's part, redeemable traits, similar interest, opposites attract etc.).

Conclusion: No offense to any ZephyrDash shippers AT ALL. If you like them together, that's fine, but it's my NOTP for both characters from BOTH SERIES. I really don't like this ship nor Zephyr's character. I honestly don't get the appeal of this ship at all and I dislike it when people wed them together. UGH.

Excuse my french, but FUCK. THIS. SHIP.

Afterthought:

Sorry if I'm being too harsh on Zephyr and ZephyrDash, but I just...REALLY don't like it. I honestly feel like that Zep from both series was only added for humor, to teach a lesson, and for shipping purposes.
