Thought I'd draw something to advertise my Discord server.

It's that time of year again.

Some wholesome Weed x Kyoushiro that I drew for Pride Month.

I managed to distract myself from Tomodachi Life long enough to actually draw something. Friendship Never Happened is an AU where Rainbow Dash never successfully performed the Sonic Rainboom as a filly, which of course results in her and the rest of the Mane Six going down completely different paths in life. It's also a next generation AU because of course it is.

Rainbow Dash

In this timeline, Hoops ends up playing dirty during the pegasus race and shoves Rainbow Dash pretty hard, resulting in her veering off course and crashing. She ends up shattering her right wing in the crash which required her to have an amputation, and also has a few scars from the accident. While she does make a full recovery, Rainbow Dash ends up being depressed for a while due to both her inability to fly and the disappearance of Fluttershy, which she felt partially responsible for. As a young teen she ends up meeting Thunderlane, who helps to pull her out of her depression and find her some hobbies, one of which is reading after he introduces her to the Daring Do books. This results in Rainbow Dash discovering her talent in creative writing.

As a young adult, Rainbow Dash ends up getting a prosthetic wing that allows her to finally be able to fly again. She is now a successful book author and has written an autobiography about her life story, with all the proceeds being donated to charities that help disabled pegasi. Rainbow Dash is much more laid back and humble than her canon counterpart and is happily married to Thunderlane, the two of them having a son together.

Twilight Sparkle

Without the rainboom to trigger her magical outburst, Twilight ends up failing her entrance exam and isn't accepted into Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns. Feeling humiliated, Twilight became a recluse and refused to leave home for a while, studying day and night to try and improve her magic. She never did, but she did end up discovering a talent in organizing books.

Twilight ends up getting a job at Canterlot Library, later becoming the head librarian following Dusty Pages’ retirement. She ends up meeting Sunburst after he came to the library and asked her for a book recommendation, and the two of them bonded over the fact that they never really succeeded with magic school. The two of them have a daughter together, and while Twilight loves her family dearly, she still occasionally thinks about her failed entrance exam and what could've been.

Pinkie Pie

Without the rainboom to create the bright light over the rock farm, Pinkie Pie never found a reason to start planning parties. Her tradition of trading rock candy necklaces with her older sister Maud Pie resulted in her finding her special talent in this universe, and as an adult, she decided to leave home and hone her candy-making skills elsewhere. This results in her meeting Bonbon, and the two of them end up opening a candy shop that they run together.

Personality-wise, Pinkie Pie isn't as excitable and outgoing as she is in canon, but is still very friendly and respectful of others. She and Bonbon also have a son together.

Rarity

Without the rainboom to split the geode open, Rarity never ends up discovering her talent for fashion. Frustrated by the seemingly pointless journey that her horn sent her on, Rarity kicks a smaller rock in frustration and causes it to split open, revealing an ammonite fossil within. Now believing that this was her destiny, Rarity decides to learn more about fossils and discovers her talent in paleontology.

Rarity becomes a very successful and well-known paleontologist, having several books written about her findings. She never finds a significant other, but does have a daughter from a one night stand with Dr. Caballeron.

Applejack

Without the rainboom to create the rainbow pointing to Ponyville, Applejack never sees the sign telling her to return home and stays in Manehatten with Aunt and Uncle Orange. Over time, she became more accustomed to the typical Manehatten lifestyle, slowly losing her accent and later changing her name to Apple Jacqueline. She later found her talent in making wine and started a successful catering business with her husband Cheese Sandwich, with her family supplying apples to make their food and drinks. While her business is successful, Apple Jacqueline's relationship with her siblings is a little strained, and part of her can't help but wonder if they resent her for leaving home. Her son isn't very interested in the high life and has shown an interest in agriculture.

Fluttershy

Without the rainboom to scare the animals, Fluttershy discovering her ability to communicate with animals happens differently than she did in canon. She relaxes with the animals on the ground for a while, but since she was a weak flyer, Fluttershy was unable to fly back up to Cloudsdale. And since she had no idea where she was, she didn't really know where to go to ask for help. Eventually, Fluttershy decides to follow her new animal friends into the nearby Everfree Forest, where they lead her to a place where she could stay safe during the night. Once it was realized that she went missing, the members of Flight Camp soon organize a search party, but Fluttershy is never found. After being unable to find any trace of her, the search is called off and Fluttershy is mourned by her friends and family.

I am, as the kids say, in my Ginga era. I'm fully aware that Iga x Koga OCs aren't a new thing in the Ginga fandom, but I just couldn't resist.

Anyway, these two are named Taiga (male Iga) and Suzume (female Koga). The two of them met when Suzume found Taiga with an injured leg after being seperated from the rest of his clan following a battle. Instead of outright killing him since he was one of the enemy, Suzume takes pity on him and began treating his wounds in secret, with the two of them bonding over time as they talked about how silly this whole centuries-long feud was. After Taiga's leg is fully healed, the and Suzume are alerted by a fire in the Iga's territory, and the two of them arrive in time to witness Kurojaki and the remainder of the Koga Clan leap into the flames. Since their respective clans now appeared to be finished, Taiga and Suzume decide to run off together and find a new place to live. The two of them later have a daughter who becomes Tesshin's mate.

Red and brown spitzes are done! These were some fun colors to play around with. Again, you can just check Ginga Wiki if you don't know who the more minor characters are.

And now, here's my revamped Noah from my Ginga AU. He and Hyena are two completely separate characters in my AU because I really didn't like the whole "Hyena never actually died" retcon. The whole point of him dying in GNG in the first place was to add weight to his redemption arc and show that he was willing to die alongside Ben as an act of honor, so retconning his heroic death just seems really dumb to me. But, as I've said before, that's what AUs are for.

So in my AU, Noah is a German Shorthaired Pointer (a breed similar to the Weimaraner, which is what Hyena was) who actually came from the same lab as Kurenai. Noah was given a different experimental drug that was made to enhance one's natural senses, which was how he got his weird future vision powers. After Kurenai sets fire to the lab during her escape, Noah ends up escaping and falls into a river, and then his backstory from there on is the same excluding the Hyena retcon (i.e. being rescued from a river by a kind man, surviving a car crash and looking after lost puppies with his two cohorts Buna and Kogomi).

This lady is the main antagonist from my AU rewrite of Ginga Densetsu Noah. Originally, I planning on not even acknowledging GDN in my AU because that story is so ridiculous that I didn't even know where to begin for a potential rewrite. But then, I watched Cinema Snob's review of the movie Man's Best Friend (a 90s horror flick about a genetically modified Tibetan Mastiff that escapes from a laboratory), and I ended up getting a brilliant idea.

In my AU, the Aka-Ari is a pack of abnormally strong dogs led a "queen" named Kurenai, a female Tibetan Mastiff who came from a laboratory that tested an experimental drug on her that gave her enhanced intelligence and strength. As a result of her enhancements, Kurenai started to think that she was superior to all others and felt that the human scientists were holding her back and set fire to the lab and escaped, but not before getting a hold of the enhancement drug. Said drug is a replacement for those dumb alien worms, and Kurenai feeds it to new dogs that are accepted into her pack. Similar to an actual queen ant, Kurenai has several mates and pups, with most of the soldiers in the Aka-Ari being her children (this does include Shou, Beniou and Wanwan from canon).
