Some very good tips for noobs like me.
Zelda Tip #8 - Reading is Essential
Not only is it educational, but it's fun!
If there's something to read, more often than not, it's pretty significant. I know in Ocarina of Time, you learn the Sun's Song from an inscription on the wall in the Royal Family's Tomb.
Often, nearby inscriptions will offer clues on how to pass a certain part if you're stuck somewhere.
Zelda Tip #7 - Come Back Later
Imagine if you will:
You're half-way through the game, sitting on Epona in the middle of Hyrule Field (or equivalent), and suddenly, a wild treasure chest appears!
You see it. You know it's there. But no matter what you do, you can't seem to reach it. You've exhausted all of your items, and still, nothing works.
So what do you do?
You come back later. Typically, whenever you see a chest (or floating heart piece), but can't reach it no matter what you do, it requires an item you haven't acquired yet. This even happens in dungeons sometimes. So, remember where it is, and come back when you have an item that you think might help you get it. Especially if it's a heart piece. You don't want to leave those behind.
Did anyone else notice the spinner tracks in Twilight Princess's Hyrule Field before you got the spinner and think, "WTF ARE THESE THINGS? THEY'RE EVERYWHERE."
