I need justice for the most retconned hero of the series who's story is so widely misunderstood and diminished. Im begging you Nintendo please fucking remake A Link to the Past so it can exist in the timeline without "fans" writing it off as a "what if" that kicks off the "2D spinoff dumping ground branch".

Plus 2 direct sequels that feature The Hero of Time's legends and his direct impact being felt generations later.

Alttp has no shortage of sequels, but they hardly acknowledge The Hero of Legend's story directly at all. Its mostly just easter eggs if anything.

A Link Between Worlds reimagined Alttp map and dungeons, but somehow doesn't corroborate Hero of Legend slaying Ganon alone and claiming the Triforce with his own bloodstained rabbit hands. Link is forced to defeat Hyrule' own soldiers and guards in this game hence his "bloody hands". Despite this, Link's "beast" form reflecting his true heart in the dark world is revealed to be a harmless pink rabbit. Fuck thats traumatic as hell but no one cares lol. Link's wanted posters were posted around Kakariko village for "kidnapping" Zelda. Villagers can call the guards on Link and the guards try to kill him instead of capture. That's dark asf too. This Link ends up witnessing so much death in this story but no one focuses on that. His story is just as tragic and hidden as the Hero of Time.

Albw backstory paintings forgot the Hero of Legend and instead nods to the Hero of Time because they depict that Ganon was sealed away by the Sages with the help of the Hero. Ravio's bunny appearance is just an ironic easter egg reference to The Hero of Legend being a rabbit and is unrelated. Like cucco lady and Anju being unrelated mirrors from different dimensions too.

At least give us one (1) remaster that tells Alttp story without the early strict localization rules and language substitutions(Ex: the sage descendants were actually SACRIFICED not trapped and its likely that's their souls residing in the blue gems). One remake that has the whole story in the game rather than being permanently exiled to a few pages of an optional game manual. One last round of retcons for the last time to work with Oot and Albw coming before and after to enrich the world building of alttp and get the DT taken seriously. And lastly hopefully Explain the Moon Pearl's connection to the Triforce and Secret stones ffs. You can't just leave a Triforce resistant relic laying around and never explain it?!

Like wtfffffff. Alttp is the backbone of later 3D Zelda conventions, lore, and music but it gets no ACTUAL updates or refreshes like Oot does.

"Alttp is a perfect game! There's no need to update it!" While I generally agree with this statement, it doesn't stop the same sentiment being used as a excuse to pressure another update of Oot. "Ocarina of Time is a perfect game! This masterpiece needs to be reintroduced to every generation!" Why not suggest alttp should be modernized for a new generation too tf? Just one (1) update from 1991 please. We can do insane stuff with games now compared to thirty years ago.

Uhh uhh. Fun fact if you didn't know about it- the stalfos mini boss theme plays for several battles. The first stalfos fight in skyview temple with only one. A second stalfos battle further into the game where you go back through skyview temple and you fight three this time. Dreadfuse, robot pirate captain that took over the sandship, another robot that I forgor the name of that you fight in skykeep, and I believe there are two stalmaster battles- one in the ancient cistern and another in skykeep.

For the lizal them, that one seems to mainly go for fire minibosses- so any lizal battles in the earth temple, fire sanctuary, and I think it plays for the two at Skipper's area in the sand sea (forgot the specific name :/ along with the magmanos (magma hands that you gotta splash with water and then crumble) you fight three- both in the fire sanctuary iirc. The first fight is with only one, then the second fight makes you go against two.

Idk. I prefer the lizal theme cuz it's got. Like. A bunch of energy. I also like mimicking the movements of the lizals :3 they hunch over and sway from foot to foot. Idk, that's just my vibe man.

The stalfos theme is more of a "marching" theme. And there's three variations! Three!

yeah, hyrule has done things to the gerudo. I am not denying that, but i don’t think it justifies the shit that ganondorf has done. Totk isn’t bad story wise , i think you all just need to use your goddamn brains 😭😭 you can like ganondorf and still let him be evil jfc

-the zelda series is defined by it breaking it's own conventions, and echoes is doing that in a very interesting way, to me

-ive never subscribed to the idea that if we had playable zelda, she HAD to play exactly like link. it doesn't make sense. she's not a trained swordswoman in any continuity, she's a princess. if she had a combat kit, it'd lean heavily more into magic than anything physical

-the gameplay of Echoes makes sense for her character; you have to use your echoes wisely to overcome combat and puzzles rather than just boldly rushing in.

-i understand the arguement of "it takes away a lot of her agency!" but again, unless it was established in-game, it wouldn't make any sense for her to get and use a sword and start the game like link-- magic i could definitely argue about, but the d-pad on the left side of the gameplay trailer leads me to believe that you WILL get more abilities down the line, such as pure magic attacks
