“FOK EVERY1” TANK ¥O-LANDI fight fight fight & moddafokking NINJA - Made an awesome start over 2 days to this Die Antwoord/Tank Girl Zombie Apocalypse project last week. Heavily inspired by Jamie Hewlett (Tank Girl & Gorillaz) and using the original artwork of photographer Roger Ballen (Die Antwoord’s ZEF graffiti & art director) & Ashley Wood (Tank Girl, Gorillaz, Die Antwoord to name just a few). The story is based from the album “Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid” which features album artwork by Ashley Wood. Ben has been an awesome client over the past couple of years, always travelling many hours to 3 different studio locations and sitting so well every time. We completed a chest piece for him earlier this year and set this project in motion a few months ago. He’d had this idea for a while and was so stoked to find out I was a huge fan of Die Antwoord and the other artists mentioned above. I’m just a humble goofball and nerdy tattooist in all this, hashing together loads of incredible artists to make a passion project and love letter to everyone this has been inspired by.
