If Cassette Beasts is deeply critical about culture why does it play several design tropes with many of its monsters completely straight with literally no subversions especially in the cases of design tropes in Western culture that are rooted in bigotry?
Yeah sure, zeethenecromancer, the game is extremely critical of people and culture. The word of someone who can't conceive of the notion of monster designs containing multiple ideas and the creators of a game having unconscious biases that don't necessarily show up in all aspects of the game can surely be trusted to have deep and meaningful analysis.
