Tell me what these eyes are saying to us?

There are two versions of this photo: one with Natalie and one without.

Being with her feels cold and distant. It doesn’t seem like a typical relationship. There’s no warmth, and they look like they’re negotiating if she is there.

There are invisible chains tightly bound to him.

Those sad eyes are heartbreaking.

His eyes lack happiness; he is solely burdened with responsibilities.

What do you observe?

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but no we aren't. No one had an issue with Wanda being Sorcerer Supreme. And the people (like me) who were upset about it were more upset about Stephen being displaced.

And since when is it wrong for fans of a certain character to upset that a writer comes in and decides to screw around with the continuity the way Orlando is doing?

Doctor Strange fans are entitled to dislike/complain about the following;

The Sanctum suddenly being passed down from Sorcerer Supreme to Sorcerer Supreme despite it being canon Stephen bought the house since the Roger Stern era of Doctor Strange

Wong being back in the Sanctum and playing manservant to Wanda (embodying a racist stereotype Marvel was trying to get away from for awhile)

Clea living in the Dark Dimension raising her sister instead of living on Earth while looking for her husband she literally fought to resurrect from the dead. Oh and, you know, because previous issues from other books pre-Sorcerer Supreme established she was looking for him, but whatever!

There suddenly being three sanctums with no explanation! With Issue #7 debuting the protector of the London Sanctum (Yeah, that's not an attempt to boost sales of a floundering book! No Siree!)

All three of The Vishanti acting like blood thirsty jackasses when Agamotto has always been depicted as the aggressive one and not Osthur!

I could go on, but yeah, you get my point. None of these are racist or mysoginistic complaints. Our complaints are directed at the bad writing, NOT Wanda's race or gender!!!

@doctorofmagic mentioned it on their blog when Sorcerer Supreme began, but it bears repeating; if the roles were reversed, if Stephen suddenly became the Living Darkhold, took over The Emporium, Wanda's supporting cast and life, would you be okay with it as Scarlet Witch fans? Of course not! You'd have every right to complain! And guess what? The Strange fans would be upset, too. Because we don't hate Wanda. We just hate this book that's, at best, a bad fanfic that got published, and at worst, a power fantasy that's written by someone who doesn't seem to like Doctor Strange very much, which is concerning.

So yeah, that's my two cents on the matter. I'm really tired of this discourse and I can't wait for September so I can go back to not having to listen to these people whine about how amazing this book is.
