In the schedule, there's dates for the second and third author checkups, but not a first.

Ah yes there is! It’s the same day as the summaries are due. I count that as the first author check-in since it’s technically the first time I’ll be hearing from authors.

But I do see how that can be confusing so I’ll edit a little note there :)

Yo, do you read OPM? Because the latest chapter that just went up on Mangastream has a lot of great shots of Genos that I think you could use as references or something for future reference.
