Lore for the Camp Camp x FNaF AU (by @andyfazdrew):
The animatronics inhabit a massive entertainment center owned by Cameron Campbell called "Campbell Acres." With its décor, attractions, and mascots, Campbell Acres features a forest theme; the mascots are based on woodland animals (Max is a raccoon, Nikki is a squirrel, etc.). Picture Great Wolf Lodge, but more like an indoor playground or arcade than an indoor water park. Each mascot sports clothing, hairstyles, personalities, and tricks similar to those of their human counterparts (like in that cool drawing of yours). However, none of them wear shoes. The mascots are possessed by the souls of their human counterparts.
So about Daniel… Campbell hired him as a mechanic to help save his failing family entertainment business with the promise of giving the characters "new life." Campbell being Campbell didn't bother to do a background check on the guy so he never found out he was actually a cultist. . On the day of Max 's birthday, Nikki, Neil and the others were all lured by Daniel disguised as a Scotty the Jack rabbit character to a back party room, Daniel telling them that they're going to surprise Max. He offered the kids punch from a bowl, which they all drank from but of course, the punch was tainted. . Max grew suspicious as to where everyone went and went to go look for them, only to find the aftermath of the tainted punch. Daniel had then dealt with him… . The animatronics are comprised of a layer of matted fur (or feathers) on the outside. Underneath the outer layer of fuzzy is a layer of plush and stuffing, and Underneath that is a metallic mesh that helps give the mascots their unique shapes. The mesh is installed over a harsh metal endoskeleton that gives the characters structure and movement. . The animatronics are pretty big, most of them TOWERING over David, especially bigger characters like Preston, Nurf, and Ered. . The animatronics typically perform together on a massive forest-themed show stage complete with spot lights, fake trees, a blue-sky background, and a rising-light up sun display. . Each mascot, except Max, has their own tie-in attraction inspired by their unique character traits (Space Chuck has a Space- themed laser tag, Harrison has a Mad House, Preston has a theate, etc). . The main show stage and every major attraction are all interconnected by a series of backstage passageways, allowing employees and mascots to traverse the establishment and get from place to place easily. These passageways also lead to a massive Maintenance Bay, full of bare endoskeletons, spare parts, mascots suits, and tools, where mascots are serviced and repaired. . Neil, being the nerd he is, loves the Maintenance Bay, tinkering with spare parts and even performing repairs on his fellow animatronics after hours. The others mostly find the place unnerving. . The animatronics are know to behave a little too… lively in performing. Max sometimes says something inappropriate in front of the kids. . The animatronics all wish to be free from the confines of the establishment, but restrictions and barriers are put into place to prevent them from escaping, making them resentful and distrusting of employees and Campbell. Their behavior and desires are usually summed up as overactive AI's. . When Max and the other human children disappeared, Campbell had to pay off A LOT of people to keep it quiet, never truly learning for himself what had happened to them, nor does he wish to know.
If you have any questions about the AU, please ask @andyfazdrew; they created it, and I just draw for it sometimes.
