Just a simple post this time. Here’s a recreation of the official artwork of Experiment 624, also known as Angel, drawn in 2021 by none other than her character designer José Zelaya, a long-time artist at Disney Television Animation. He also designed or helped design several other experiments seen in the show, as you can see in monochromatic versions of their official artwork in the second image here. Most of them maintained their initial designs, but eagle-eyed fans might notice a few of them with some noticeable differences from their final designs.
Besides Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Zelaya has also worked on shows and movies both within and outside of Disney such as Recess (he designed the tough tomboy Ashley Spinelli), An Extremely Goofy Movie, Futurama, Drawn Together, American Dragon: Jake Long (he worked on that show’s second season), Phineas and Ferb, and The Lion Guard (he designed the brave honey badger Bunga) among others.
