Investigando en la red me he topado con esta versión bastante buena de "Paperback Writer" de los Beatles por Marty Wilde de su siguiente LP, "Rock & Roll" (1970), un álbum de versiones de clásicos del género en el que sólo incluye un tema, éste, más o menos contemporáneo. La principal innovación consiste en que en los coros sustituye los "writeeer, writeeer", por "paperbaaack, paperbaaack".
La cabra tiraba para el monte y Marty (padre de Kim, padre de Ricky) acabó publicando esporádicamente más discos de rock, a su nombre ("Back To Rock and Roll", 1976, "Solid Gold", 1994) o bajo el seudónimo de Zappo (¡al ataquer!).
