the worst part about being a fanfic writer is when you’re a fan of somebody else’s work and they’ve only got one chapter of a story up but that chapter is sooo good and you can’t wait for the next part of the story and then you start wondering what’s going to happen next and then you’ve accidentally written the second chapter of their story in your head. 

on the one hand, it’ll be cool to see what they’ve come up with, it’s THEIR story not yours... on the other hand, there’s just this one scene that sticks and would be so disappointing that they didn’t telepathically copy it because it means it didn’t work out.

when i first started writing fanfic i participated in a round robin story, it was for the drew carey show, i think, and some friends and i wrote an entire story (one chapter, that was a lot back then for us) and it was about how Lewis went to a family reunion and came back married. it used to be on fanfiction.net but it seems it isn’t there anymore, I found my old account https://www.fanfiction.net/u/216054/the-rose-is-ice but nope, story is disabled. What do they have against the DCS anyway?? that’s mean. but i do see that my Space Cases fic is still up, I never finished that, maybe a fun project to work on as well? A rewrite perhaps. I wish I knew how to get back into that account.
