I think it was largely misinterpreted, but it wasn't intended to be a doomed yuri bracket. it was supposed to be for pairings treated poorly or underappreciated (i.e., maligned) by fandoms, but a lot of the pairings submitted were very popular yuri that had bad things happen to them in canon - including the winners, farcille! - making it seem more like a doomed yuri bracket.

honestly, for a while, it was just survival, pure survival.

I think between the ages of 11-16-ish, when he was in the Doomed Orphan gang proper, he wanted to live because he was terrified of dying. he'd witnessed his parent's horrific ends by gnolls when he was too young to understand that permanent loss. he never got over it. he lived because he had to, with only the faintest hope (ever fading) that it could get better. maybe one day, he'd be saved, right?

at a certain point though, I think he almost gave up. life became a monotonous torture, both at the hands of other men using him and his gang leader's horrific abuse. I think a part of him wanted to join his parents, although he truly believed he wouldn't go to the same 'good place' they went after they died. he had serious survivor's guilt, and felt that (even though he was seven years old) he should have tried to save them.

then, I think there was a breaking point, around age 18, because that's the age he finally ran away from his former gang. to do that meant CERTAIN death if they caught him, but it was also this...burst of desire to live again. he got *out*. even if he was on the run, starving, thinking he only had months to live, he was still living!

OH BOY WHERE DO I EVEN START.

SO Yuri has wanted to try and redeem his patron, a devil named Baron Carmine. He wants this because, as a warlock, his power source is drawn from not only him, but fucking Glasya as a result, who is Baron C's boss. Yuri feels a bit bad for Carmine, and while the devil hasn't been the best guy in death or life, its not only for him, but for his past (living) self's descendants, who were CURSED because in life, Baron C was a huge, horrible jerk.

But god does Baron C test Yuri. He's rude, hellbent on being evil, and likes to hide super important information from Yuri...namely the fact that the weapon Yuri uses that is the source of his power, the Perdition Blade, was once wielded by a woman named Bernadette, who also created the same demonic gnoll issue that uh, that ended up killing Yuri's parents in the first place.

SO YEAH, YURI'S A BIT PISSED. He didn't know that. But he still wants to redeem him. If an angel can fall, a devil can rise, right?

Meanwhile, Yuri's resurrected parents are alive and well, and getting to work on catching up creating siblings for Yuri (who isn't super excited by the idea, but...what can you do).

Yuri and his friends have also traveled to fantasy France to kill his best friend's evil parents, who basically let the illithid take over the entire countryside, poisoning the water, turning the cows into octopi, etc.

Yuri. Her hot body turn on the concert staff so much and they fuck at the backstage and Yuri would so enjoy that and didn't know that concert already start. The other member only can start without Yuri. After the opening, Yuri could only hurry to the stage, but she didn't notice that there was still some semen left on her legs.
