Few days ago I had an urge of eating Japanese food. Not just any Japanese food, it HAS to be Sushi Tei. Maybe for a real Japanese, or those who have lived there, the taste of that restaurant is way beyond the original cuisine. But for most Indonesian (read: Me) it’s just YUMMY! Since I came alone, they put me at the sushi bar. Not that I dislike sitting there, it’s just every time I’m there I always end up being confused on where to put my food. Hehehe… people have always misjudged me by my size. I’m one of those who can eat like a pig (and I do eat like one of them!) but stay like a stick. Lucky me, huh! Well, my lunch was opened with the yummy ‘potato salad.’ Then continued with ‘soft shell crab sushi’. And after finishing some pages of ‘Eat, Pray, Love’, I started ordering again. This time is ‘nira moyashi’ a sautéed garlic bean sprout that tastes extremely yummy and crunchy! (just like I like it!) And a portion of ‘soft shell crab’. The last one’s not sushi but 2 pieces of soft shell crab cut into 4 pieces. I didn’t get to take the picture, coz I was too excited when the whole thing came! Hihihihi So that’s my lovely plus extremely yummy lunch at Sushi Tei. I’ll post the soft shell crab next time I have it.

I had a wonderful lunch with my dad at GOURMET GARAGE. Located in Kemang Raya,on the right side, just before you make a left turn heading for Hero Kemang, if you're driving from Mc Donald's. It's a pretty obvious building. Looking quite like a real garage, with a wooden fence, it houses a japaneese restaurant, one cafe, one oyster bar, and some imported biscuits, snacks and drinks. Oooh, there's also a Jenggala ceramic store. (if I'm not mistaken) Not too sure about the wine selection, since i'm not a wine drinker. But I can sure you that the ice cream and cake selection is quite yummy! Anyway, back to my lunch... Both my dad and I had tempura. Mine was a tempura don set. A set of miso soup, with some pickles, and a box of rice with tempura with some kind of sauce on top of it. My dad had a regular tempura. Both are OH SOOOO GOOOODD!!!! But, the most refreshing thing is my drink. I had an OH SOOOO REFRESHING "ICED STRAWBERRY TEA" Maybe coz it's so hot outside, and when I got my tea and had a first taste... I instantly fell in love! What I love is that they also have lots variations of tea. Fruit teas, herbs,etc. So Yummy! Well, we had our quick lunch (too bad). Saved the tea for last, and headed our own way. But I'll be coming back soon though. YUMMMM!!!!! PS: the service is also good. the waiters are very helpful and serve with a smiley face.
