The end result from my pictures yesterday! I dehydrated them in the oven. Supposedly, they only take about 2-3 hours to dry at 200F but since I made mind so thick it took about 6 hours. I strung them up with green twine using the natural holes created by the drying process (except the ends I had to use a needle I use for crochet). π₯ Orange and Clove Pomanders are a Yule tradition to make and give to someone as a gift. I had a lovely orange and a large glass vial of cloves so I wanted to make one for my home as I have in years past. The orange was a bit too large and I worried about it rotting quickly in the wetness of the PNW so I sliced them instead to dry. I stuck cloves into the rind and later added cinnamon. A little run down of the separate magical properties of the ingredients are as follows π: Cloves are used magically to stop gossip, in gambling magic, for friendship, money/prosperity work, room renting, protection, exorcism, love, lust and more. β‘οΈ Cinnamon is known to be great for money drawing and new businesses, cleansing, SPICING up love (lust, desire, seduction, sex), success, protection, psychic powers, healing and POWER "in general." π₯ Orange is really great for Happiness, Joy, Energy and Power magic. Among many other things! π So you see they are a lovely little bit of magic to keep in the home and/or give as gifts.
