*big inhale*
asdshafrbvkljh I just watched Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo and the fifteenth episode is just... so good. what the hecc
honestly im kind of a sucker for fairytale themed episodes of any show, but that’s actually not why i liked this episode so much.
its the character dynamic between Urara, Nozomi, Rin, and Kurumi/Milk. They feel so much like a real group of friends. I can relate to Rin in that I sometimes get irritated or even kind of angry when a friend might make a questionable decision or make a very avoidable mistake, just like how she gets fed up with Nozomi’s carelessness. But at the same time, I can see things from Nozomi’s perspective, how she likes to do things her own way, and I can totally get that. It can feel awful when it feels like someone is trying to put you down, even if you understand their intentions and their feelings. I love Rin and Nozomi’s friendship, because it perfectly showcases the sort of caring for a person who’s prone to getting themselves in trouble. Rin rarely ever snaps at Nozomi because she doesn’t want to hurt her feelings, but there sometimes comes a point where caring becomes exhausting for her. And it feels totally real. Rin is super patient and tolerant, but she also has her limits. And sometimes that breaking point isn’t when something absolutely terrible happens, it can sometimes come when someone makes the smallest mistake.Â
I could never hate any of my own friends, or Nozomi, and it was actually really eye-opening for me to sort of see myself in Rin. Because Nozomi is the main character, I can easily put myself in her shoes, but I can also do so with Rin, because I relate to her, so I can see how Nozomi might see Rin’s anger with her, or how Nozomi feels about her own mistakes.Â
Even though I don’t really like Kurumi/Milk, seeing her bond with Rin in this episode made me warm up to her a little more, because even though I don’t like how harsh and mean she is with Nozomi, I can see where that might come from. Kurumi is more self-centered than Rin, and has less patience, but still does care about Nozomi as at least a friend. I hope Kurumi and Nozomi get to know each other better, because I think once Kurumi begins to understand Nozomi, she’ll begin to be a little bit nicer and more understanding of her.
Also Milk’s design as a bun and a human is hecking adorable and thats definetly not part of the reason I’m starting to semi like herÂ
As for Urara, I loved her as well. Even if it seems like she’s just following Nozomi, why wouldn’t she? Urara looks up to Nozomi, and cares about her as a friend. They also share some traits in common, but not so much to the point where Kurumi takes issue with her. I’d love to see the relationship between Rin and Urara develop more, it seems like Rin would almost be maternal or kind of a big sister to her.
idk if any of this made any lick of sense, but i just loved the episode and wanted to share my thoughts.
