From You Yao/Are you ok! Long DaXia x Xie Liang x Fan Ai Guo! I feel like I gotta explain this: XieLiang and FanAiGuo are NOT related in any shape or form, it just so happened that XieLiang didn't completely die when FanAiGuo transmigrated into his body so now they're sharing it (till they find another body for FanAiGuo to transmigrate into ---------) I saw these characters share the screen and I just- felt this extreme need to ship them (last time that happened was with dimiashe lmao)

You Yao episode 7 thoughts
(I know I’m biased towards Prince Yu and Li Ke’s arc, but I’m just a bit more invested to see how that plot-line goes)
I feel besides being totally whipped for Li Ke, he tells Prince Yu he had only transmigrated into that world a few days ago, which going off of how quickly Travellers inhabit a body, seems to check out. So that means Prince Yu’s friend had been murdered not too long ago, and that’s one of the reasons why he’s so protective of Li Ke. His friend’s murder is still new and fresh.
I also theorize it’s likely when Prince Yu went off to fight in whatever war is in the ED that’s likely the last time he and his friend talked face to face. Maybe before he left the two had a falling out with his friend deciding to leave the palace, seeing as he keeps being pushed away no matter how hard he tries to reach out to his friend. That could make sense as to why his clothes look so different in the ED to what Li Ke is currently wearing. He left the palace life and maybe lived a more reclusive or “normal” life either at Prince Yu’s behest or because it was to hide himself from the emperor.
(Note: Now that I remember, in episode 5 when Prince Yu sees Li Ke prepare to play the flute, he reminisces of his friend wearing the same clothes and playing the flute for him. So while his friend did leave, he still had his flute and perhaps snuck into the palace every now and again to see his friend, but maybe not acting as close as they used to given how they were positioned in that flashback. Then after he was murdered, Li Ke obviously didn’t take the flute with him, leading to Prince Yu to discover it and then order his men to find Li Ke.)
So Prince Yu indulges in Li Ke’s desires because he had pushed his friend away to the point he was killed because of him, and now he has the opportunity to sort of rectify that mistake and be close to the person he called a friend.
While my shipper heart definitely likes to see this in a romantic light, I feel like Li Ke is just opening Prince Yu’s heart to caring for others again, after losing everyone he ever loved. Hopefully the next episode shows them on their date outing and more flashbacks of Prince Yu and his friend, and how they possibly fell out with each other but still remained close. Maybe we’ll even find out why his friend was murdered.
Based on a rather old Russian joke, originally about mushrooms for the mother-in-law (such a lamest joke).
My friend and I were accidentally remembering stupid jokes while watching You Yao and I accidentally made this joke about Prince Yu and Li Ke, so... (sorry not sorry)

this moment in the novel killed me on the spot, my desire to draw Li Ke from this moment in the donghua style was irresistible
