3.13.16 #10daysago Our team won at the Code Weekend App/Web Pitch Competition! 🏆 Woooo go, Food Rhymes. 🍨 Our judges include Sir Kevin of ICS, Sir Genesis of Kalibrr. Shoutout to my awesome teammates Lizette, Loise, Lems. They're siblings. 👪💞 This was what I meant in my previous IG post when I felt like I was part of a new family. Literal HAHA but also figurative. After Day 1, they invited me to their house and introduced me to Tita Sonia and Shaine (Top 1 student at #UPRural I'm fangirling, Rural yooon) We brainstormed for our app. Science? Election? Something that can change the world? About 2 hours. And then when we were hungry, we all got hyped for food especially #food in #UPLB so voila, there's our dream all haha. Day 2: The 7 teams had great ideas. Online library, e-learning, money manager, planner, A.I. selfie that can assess one's health (super cool), an app that supports indie films. Promising apps that I hope will come to life! And then there was our #team. When we pitched, I couldn't help but laugh "Simple lang naman po ang pangarap namin, gusto namin kayo tulungan magdecide kung saan kakain." My supportive teammates were laughing too HAHA but we presented our website. We dream of seeing this in Google play, sana this May 🙆 Aside from winning, the Real prize here is working with my teammates who I just met. YES. I just met them but they let me be part of their team. To say that we enjoyed each other's company is an understatement. I won new #friends not just connections. This is a product of legit #teamwork 😍 I regret that I haven't joined them in Holy Week vacation today but I'm still thankful that I'm like part of their family already 🙌 Thank you Arcillas family :) Thank you @papuj for the laptop!!! 3.12-13.16 It's been a week since one of the best weekends of 2016!!! As a blogger, I look forward to apply the lessons I learned. I've always wanted to have Web Page Designing as a sideline. And there are websites that were given to me as tasks. This weekend was helpful But the best part really, is the new friends I met. You know in conferences it's normal to expect new connections, but new friendships are such sweet surprises. I went there without teammates because none of my friends were free. But I went home not only with newfound teammates... After last weekend, I felt I was part of a new family. 👪💞 I will let you know in my next posts!!!
