          He’s no stranger to turbulence; having felt it in both flight, and in mind. Often times,          he greets it like an old friend, like a challenge met with evasive maneuvers and the          need to test now veteran hands and skill.

         The doors open, and it all catches in his throat, and he feels the excitement spread          through his body like a current free from resistance, extend and seep from skin. He           had almost believe, that if touched, there would be static, and a charge that reaches           – yearns to continue it’s path. 

         Sulu’s greeted with smiles, proud looks, and a man that became a mentor, donned          in something else - not a member of this crew, but one of old – Jim’s come to see          him set off. 

         “Captain Sulu of the Excelsior,” Jim says with a grin, eyes bright and proud. 

         He greets the man with one of his own, gives a small knowing glance and speaks.          It’s nostalgia in his voice, recollection of warm memories he’d grown fond of, and          a respect had eternal.   

The navigator looked up when he heard steps in the hallway outside the cell, hoping that maybe it would be the Captain or someone else who’d come to get him out of there. He was surprised when instead he saw two of the aliens dragging another member of their crew into the light that filtered through the small window. The door of the cell was opened and the older man pushed inside before, without as much as a word, the aliens locked the door and disappeared down the corridor. “Doktor, how nice of you to join me in zis beautiful place…“

                             There was a time to stand your ground, and a time to                              hang your hat. And this was one of the hat times. He                               knew he was screwed the moment he had decided to                              go onto the planet with Jim and Spock. But it had made                              sense to him. He didn’t want to get left behind on another                              mission.                               Now he wished he had listened to his gut.

Caine had been hunting down a bloodline for years now, when of all possible outcomes, the bloodline found him.

He knew the second his eyes fell on the young man in the team of five that the prince had been found. He watched a moment before deciding to bite the bullet and dropped down from his perch, landing with a near silent thud, hands raised as five weapons snapped to train on him.

“I do not come to harm you.” he said calmly, slowly standing, eyes not once leaving the young man, nostrils flaring slightly to drink in the air.
