I'm actually working on another short companion piece to Poppies In Her Eyes. It's Solona and Jowan's first date/feelings/etc when they went to Montsimmard for grad school to get away from Kirkwall and all the bad memories and realize you can take the former Tranquil out of Kirkwall, but you can't erase a past that's going to follow you forever.
It's based on Youkali by Kurt Weill and will have the same title. It's in French but the English translation can be found here. I first heard this song when I was reading through the accompaniment with a friend who's performing this piece, tentatively in a French art song recital with me, and it WRECKED me.
