Revisiting the Kakaru Cup in the anime and getting to hear stuff that didn't come across in translation in the manga, I'm thinking about another theory of mine, that Isshou judged the Karaku Cup because he knew a rumor about Akane and wanted to lure her out not knowing that she was Shiguma's pupil already

I mean I know everyone seems to unaware of rakugo gossip in the story but you'd think someone somewhere would be like "Oh yeah there's this teenage rakugoka who's really good but she seems to have beef with Arakawa Isshou" and just forget to mention oh yeah she's got a teacher already.

Because like we know from Kaisei's flashbacks and current manga situation that there's some antagonism to Isshou's teaching style so I would think if he heard about Akane, he would want to seek her out and if she was as good as people say, work with her.

It seems like, as any good foils, Akane and Isshou are drawn to each other even though they both vex each other.

• That said, one tends to gravitate toward their own image and content preferences, and that's OK. The Algorithm will definitely keep you supplied with images and posts within your preferences.

• OK...good a place as any to unpack my own. Sum it up in the word "real." The human female form is the most beautiful and alluring feature in the world. And the human male form is powerful and inspiring.

• A downside of The Algorithm feeding one's preferences is that The Algorithm has a hard time sometimes distinguishing between what's appropriate and what's not. This often may lead to photos that probably shouldn’t be on Tumblr. And I don't mean "consenting, grown-up adult" images. Enough said. Let the reader understand.

• Tumblr is still full of fascinating people, interesting connections, and even stimulating interactions.

Knowing Hiyuki is like a year and a half older than Chihiro makes all of their interactions ten times funnier to me now (I thought she was like a little older than Kiri. I cannot explain why. I think it was the haircut looked too business lesbian to me, which could be true at 19 too, but...anyway...)

But like I have to question the plan of giving a baby who maybe has their physical milestones early and can only sit up and smile and maybe is about to say their first word a weapon of mass destruction

All I can think of is the time they went to Fry Pan Mountain in Dragon Ball and a magic item got thrown out because it got dirty while being used as a hot pad. Flame Bone as the ultimate baby rattle. What are we doing

That said, I feel like a fatigue with this arc that reminds me of the same kind of feelings I had during Hidden Inventory when watching JJK where there came a point where I was like "I miss the kids" and I think I'm at that point with the Seitei War even though I am kind of curious how this will play out.

One of the best things about the Netflix Devil May Cry series as an elder Millennial is sometimes they do stuff like have Dante saving Lady from Truck-kun with one hand like he's Edward Cullen and immediately "My Immortal" starts playing and ti's just too much (affectionate).

Thinking about this Irishima arc and I think one of the biggest things this story needs is a Mikaboshi POV at some point. Like if you think about historical genocides, there are almost always survivors somewhere for whatever reason and I'm curious what they think happened.

I mean like since it's Jump I understand if we never get that, but I think especially since we're working with a nuclear weapons metaphor, we need that POV eventually.

I would guess if we do get one, it'll be after the present timeline resumes in the story because it'd come from someone Chihiro has to meet first.

This would also fit with the theme of how Samura had to change and how he predicted that Akemura will have to change too. Chihiro also has to change because he only knows one side of the story.
